Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan jalan dalam mencerdaskan manusia. Sehingga, dari pendidikan akan menjadikan manusia bermartabat dan memiliki derajat. Manusia akan memperoleh pengetahuan, pemahaman, dan tingkah laku yang diharapkan oleh lingkungan
Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah a). Mendeskripsikan proses perencanaan penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa kelas VII C pada mata pelajaran IPS terpadu di MTs Negeri Probolinggo. b). Mendeskripsikan proses pelaksanaan penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa kelas VII C pada mata pelajaran IPS terpadu di MTs Negeri Probolinggo. c). Mendeskripsikan penilaian penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa kelas VII C pada mata pelajaran IPS terpadu di MTs Negeri Probolinggo.
Problem based learning adalah suatu pendekatan pembelajaran yang diawali dengan penyajian masalah yang dirancang dalam konteks relevansi dengan materi yang dipelajari. PBM melibatkan siswa dalam penyelidikan pilihan sendiri yang memungkinkan siswa dapat menginterpretasikan dan menjelaskan fenomena dunia nyata dan membangun pemahamannya tentang fenomena yang ada. Sehingga memungkinkan dapat membantu siswa dalam memahami materi atau persoalan dalam dunia belajar.
Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa penerapan Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan kualitas prestasi belajar siswa kelas VII C MTs Negeri Probolinggo dalam proses belajar mengajar. Peningkatan prestasi siswa tersebut dapat terlihat dari pengamatan dan data kuantitatif nilai pre test dan post test selama proses penelitian. Nilai rata-rata pre test siswa sebesar 47,4. Siklus I sebesar 51,6 dengan ketuntasan naik 13,07% dan siklus II sebesar 83,7 dengan ketuntasan mencapai 83,34%. Peningkatan nilai rata-rata pada siklus I sebesar 8,69 % dan pada siklus II sebesar 62.09 %. Saran yang diperoleh; guru hendaknya mempersiapkan bahan ajar yang diperlukan, menambah wawasan keilmuan, dan mengetahui kondisi siswa.

Education is the way how to educate humans. There for, education will make both human dignity and degree. Humans will acquire the knowledge, understanding, and behavior expected by the social environment.
The purpose of this research is a). Describe the process of planning about how to implemented Problem Based of Learning model in improving student achievement in grade VII C in social study integrated in MTs N Probolinggo. b). Describe the process of implementation of Problem Based on Learning model in improving student achievement in grade VII C in social study integrated in MTsN Probolinggo. c). Describe the assessment of the implementation of Problem Based on Learning model in improving student achievement in grade VII C in social studiy integrated in MTsN Probolinggo.
Problem Based on Learning is a learning approach that begins with the presentation of the problem designed in the context of the relevance of the material being studied. Teaching and learning process involve students in investigation choices which enable students can interpret and explain real-world phenomena and to build understanding of the phenomenon exist. There for, it can help students in understanding the material or issues in the world of learning.
The research proves that the application of problem based on learning can improve the quality of student learning achievement grade of VII C MTs N Probolinggo in the learning process. Improvement in student achievement can be observed from the observation and quantitative data value pre-test and post-test during the research process. The average value of pre-test students is 47,4. The first cycle of 51,6 and completeness up to 13,07% as well as cycle II is 83,7 with a completeness reaches 83,34%. The increase of the average value of the first cycle is 8,69% and the second cycle is 62,09%. Suggestions research; teachers should prepare the necessary teaching materials, adds scientific insight. and determine the condition of the student.
