Penerapan strategi pembelajaran Inquiri dan Discovery dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran ekonomi MAN Paiton Probolinggo

ABSTRAK

Dalam proses pelaksanaan belajar mengajar, guru masih banyak yang menggunakan strategi tradisional seperti transfer knowledge dalam menyampaikan materi pelajaran. Untuk mata pelajaran Ekonomi di kelas X MAN Paiton, Guru menjelaskan dengan ceramah dan tanya jawab serta pembagian tugas dengan mengerjakan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS). Terlihat dari nilai evaluasi yang mereka peroleh pada pretest sebagian besar siswa tidak mencapai KKM. Hal ini salah satunya disebabkan tingkat hasil belajar siswa sangat rendah. Selain itu strategi yang digunakan guru dalam menyampaikan materi juga berpengaruh.

Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui proses perencanaan, proses pelaksanaan, hingga proses evaluasi pembelajaran menggunakan strategi Inquiri dan Discovery untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa belajar Ekonomi pada siswa Kelas X MAN Paiton.

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Teknik-teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu: (1) Dokumentasi,(2) Observasi, (3) Wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang bersifat kualitatif yang terdiri dari hasil observasi dan dokumentasi dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif, sedangkan data yang berupa angka dianalisis dengan cara menghitung prosentase dan rata-rata.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran yang penulis gunakan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa khususnya pada mata pelajaran Ekonomi. Nilai rata-rata peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pretest dengan siklus I adalah 2.3, nilai rata-rata peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pretest dengan siklus II adalah 2.6, nilai rata-rata peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pretset dengan siklus III adalah 2.11.

Sedangkan dari segi nilai evaluasi yang didapatkan siswa juga mengalami peningkatan. Rata-rata hasil evaluasi pada pretest adalah 75.6 sedangkan evaluasi pada siklus I adalah 75.6 atau meningkat 4.3%. rata-rata evaluasi pada siklus II adalah 78.9 atau meningkat 4.36%, rata-rata evaluasi pada siklus III adalah 84.3 atau meningkat 11.6% dari rata-rata evaluasi pretest, dari rata-rata evaluasi siklus I adalah 78.8 atau meningkat 12,6%, rata-rata evaluasi pada siklus II adalah 84.3 atau meningkat 6.97%, rata-rata evaluasi pada siklus III adalah 78.9 meningkat 6.40%.

ABSTRACT

Nowadays, there are many teachers who still use traditional strategies such as transfer knowledge when deliverling the course material during the implemantation process of teaching and learning. For the economics subject in the first class MAN Paiton Probolinggo, the teacher explain the course material by giving a presentation or question and answer, and also by giving the assigment for the student to do the student workshett (LKS). From the evaluation score, it reveals the mostly student do not pass the KKM. It occurs because of the lower understanding level of student. The strategy used in presenting the material is also very influential.

The aim of research is to know from the planning, implementation, until the evaluation process through the use inquiri and discovery strategies, to increase the ability of the student of first grade of MAN Paiton on Economic Lesson.

This research was classroom action research. Specifically by using the class action research. The data collection techniques used are: (1) Document, (2) Observation, (3) Interview. The qualitative data which consist of observation data and documentation are analyzed in a descriptive qualitative method, while the numeric or quantitative data are analyzed by calculating the precentage and the average.

The result of the research shows that learning strategy used by the researcher can enhance the student understanding, especially in the economics subject. The Mean of the evaluation scores of the student from pretest with first siclus I is 2.3, the mean of the evaluation scores of the student from pretest with second siclus II is 2.6, the mean of the evaluation scores of the student from pretest with third siclus III is 2.11.

The evaluating score of the student is increased. The average of evaluation scores on pretest is 75.6. the evaluation on cycle I is 75.6 or increase 4.3%. the evaluation on cycle II is 78.9 or increase 4.36%. the evaluation on cycle III is 84.3 or increase 11.6% from the evaluation of pretest, from the average of evaluation I is 78.8 or increase 12.6%, the average of cycle evaluation I is 78.8 or increase 12.6%, the average of cycle evaluation II is 84.3 or increase 6.97%, the average of cycle evaluation III is 78.9 or increase 6.40%.
