Abstract
ABSTRAK
Selama ini proses pembelajaran kita lihat masih menganut model pembelajaran konvensional, yaitu proses pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru dan selama itu pula kemampuan siswa untuk aktif dalam proses pembelajaran dan kemandirian dalam belajar tidak akan tampak. Pembelajaran konvensional menganggap guru adalah satu-satunya sumber belajar yang dianggap serba tahu. Hal ini di perkuat oleh hasil observasi yang telah dilkukan oleh peneliti sebelum melakukan penelitian., dan terbukti saat pelajaran dimulai banyak siswa yang ngobrol sendiri dan kelihatan sekali mereka merasa bosan dengan metode yang dilakukan oleh guru mata pelajaran IPS. Hal ini di duga akan mempengaruhi aktivitas belajar siswa di dalam kelas.
Berangkat dari permasalahan di atas maka secara umum dirumuskan dalam penelitian ini yaitu : Proses perencanaan model pembelajaran Inovatif melalui metode Talking Stick pada mata Pelajaran IPS kelas VII SMPN 1 Singosari? Proses pelaksanaan model pembelajaran Inovatif melalui metode Talking Stick untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPSkelas VII SMPN 1 Singosari? Proses penilaian model pembelajaran Inovatif melalui metode Talking Stick untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS kelas VII SMPN 1 Singosari.
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kota Malang, tepatnya di SMPN 1 Singosari. Penelitian ini merupakan PTK. Tahap penelitian berupa siklus yang meliputi: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Teknik-teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu: observasi; pengukuran tes hasil belajar; dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode Talking stick dapat meningkatkan Aktivitas belajar siswa.
Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode Talking Stick dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa khususnya pada mata pelajaran IPS.ini terbukti Pada siklus I aktivitas belajar siswa dengan nilai rata-rata kelas dari pre test sebesar 24 meningkat menjadi 25 atau sekitar 4.1% Sedangkan pada siklus II aktivitas belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan yakni nilai rata-rata kelas dari pre test sebesar 28 meningkat menjadi 31 atau sekitar 10.71 % dan sedangkan pada siklus III aktivitas belajar siswa mangalami peningkatan nilai rata-rata kelas dari pre test sebesar 31 meningkat menjadi 36 atau sekitar 16.12%.
ABSTRACT
All this time, the instruction process, we saw that it still adhere the conventional instruction model, namely the instruction process concentrated on the teacher and during the time also the students abilities to be active in the instruction process and the independence in learning would not visible. The conventional instruction assumed that teacher is the only learning source regarded as knowledgeable. This case confirmed by the result of observation has been conducted by the researcher before made the research, and it was proven that when the lesson started many students chatted each other and it so looked that they felt bore with the method was performed by the Social Studies subject matter teacher. This case was presumed would influence the students learning activities in the classroom.
Departed from the problems above then it was generally formulated in this research namely: Is the planning process of innovative instruction model by means of the Talking Stick method on the Social Studies subject matter of VIIth grade of the State Junior High School 1 of Singosari? Is the implementation
process of innovative instruction model by means of the Talking Stick method to improve the students learning activities on the Social Studies subject matter of VIIth grade of the State Junior High School 1 of Singosari? The assessment process of innovative instruction model by means of the Talking Stick method is to improve the students learning activities on the Social Studies subject matter of VIIth grade of the State Junior High School 1 of Singosari.
This research was implemented in Malang city, exactly at the State Junior High School 1 of Singosari. This research was the PTK (class action research). The research phases were in the form of cycles involving: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data gathering techniques used were observation, learning outcomes test measuring, and documentation. Based on the results of research has been implemented it could be concluded that the application of Talking Stick method can increase the students learning activities. From the results of this research it indicated that the Talking Stick method can increase the students learning activities particularly on the Social Studies subject matter. It was proven on cycle I that the student learning activities with the class average value of pretest as large as 24 increased to 25 or about 4.1%. While, on cycle II the students learning activities had the increase namely the class average value of pretest as large as 28 increased to 31 or about 10.71%, and while, on cycle III the students learning activities had the class average value increase of pretest as large as 31 increased to 36 or about 16.21%
