Pengembangan LKS IPA untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa kelas V di SDN Kersoharjo 2 Ngawi

ABSTRAK

IPA adalah serangkaian hasil kegiatan manusia berupa pengetahuan, gagasan, konsep yang terorganisasi tentang alam sekitar yang diperoleh dari pengalaman melalui serangkaian proses ilmiah antara lain penyelidikian, penyusunan, dan pengujian gagasan-gagasan. Dalam melakukan kegiatan pengamatan atau percobaan dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan lembar kerja siswa (LKS). Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) adalah lembaran yang berisikan informasi dan interaksi dari guru kepada siswa agar dapat mengerjakan sendiri suatu aktifitas belajar, melalui praktek atau penerapan hasil-hasil belajar utuk mencapai tujuan intruksional (perintah). Dari pekerjaannya dapat diketahui hasil kemampuan siswa. Untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA maka diperlukan LKS IPA yang berisi berbagai macam kegiatan untuk membantu siswa dalam melakukan aktifitas percobaan agar pembelajaran IPA lebih bermakna dan dapat dimengerti.

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN Kersoharjo 2 Ngawi, dengan objek penelitian siswa kelas V. Adapun tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah; 1) Menghasilkan produk berupa pengembangan LKS IPA kelas 5 SD; 2) Untuk meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik kelas 5 Kersoharjo 2 Ngawi dengan pengembangan LKS IPA.

Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pengembangan Walter Dick & Carey yang memiliki 10 langkah prosedur pengembangan. Untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman siswa setelah menggunakan LKS IPA yang telah dikembangkan, peneliti melakukan pre-test dan post-test pada 19 siswa. Hasil yang diperoleh dari uji statistik adalah t hitung sebesar 11, 08 sedangkan t tabel 1, 734. Karena thitung= 11,08 > 1,734(ttabel) maka Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak, kesimpulanya ada perbedaan yang sangat signifikan antara nilai akhir (Post-test) dengan nilai awal (Pre-test). Selanjutnya dari harga rerata diketahui X2= 80,31 > 46,5 (X1), berarti nilai Post-test lebih bagus dari Pre-test . Jadi ada perbedaan yang signifikan pada pemahaman siswa kelas 5 SDN Kesoharjo 2 Ngawi setelah menggunakan LKS IPA dari produk yang telah dikembangkan.

ABSTRACT

IPA is a result of series of human activities in the form of knowledge, ideas, concepts are organized around the nature of the experience gained through a series of scientific processes such as investigations, preparation, and testing of ideas. In conducting observations or experiments can be performed using the student worksheet (LKS). Student Worksheet (LKS) is a sheet that contains information and interaction from teacher to student to work a learning activity by themself, through the practice or application of learning outcomes to achieve instructional goal (command). Of his work can be seen the results of students abilities. To enhance students understanding in science subjects is needed LKS IPA containing a wide range of activities to assist students in conducting activities for learning science experiments more meaningful and understandable.

The research was carried out on SDN Kersoharjo 2 Ngawi, with the object of research students in fifth grade. The objectives to be achieved in this study are: 1) To produce a development of science worksheets grade 5, 2) To improve the understanding of grade 5 students Kersoharjo 2 LKS Ngawi with the development of IPA. This study used the design of the development from Walter Dick & Carey, which has 10-step procedure development.

To find an increased understanding of the students after using the science worksheets that have been developed, researchers conducted a pre-test and post- test on 19 students. The results of the statistic test is t count by 11, 08 while t tables 1, 734. Because t count = 11.08> 1.734 (t table) then H0 rejected and Ha accepted, the conclusions there is difference significant between the final (post- test) with initial value (pre-test). Furthermore, from the known average price of X2 = 80.31> 46.5 (X1), means the Post-test even better than pre-test. So there are differences significant in the understanding of fifth grade students of SDN Kesoharjo 2 LKS IPA Ngawi after use of products that have been developed.
