Abstract
ABSTRAK
Metode Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) merupakan salah metode kooperatif yang fokus menekankan pada pengembangan kemampuan membaca dan menulis siswa. Dalam pelaksanannya metode ini membantu siswa memahami sebuah bacaan dengan cara berkelompok. Setiap anggota kelompok saling bertukar pikiran dengan teman yang lain, sehingga siswa aktif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran.
Tahap-tahap dalam pelaksanaan metode CIRC adalah mengidentifiaksi topik dan mengorganisasikan dalam kelompok kerja (kelompk membahasan topik yang dipilih), merencanakan tugas kegiatan kelompok, melaksanakan pembelajaran (mengumpulkan informasi dan menganilisis data untuk mencapai kesimpilan), mempersiapkan laporan akhir (menentukan pesan yang terkandung dalam kegiatan pembelajaran), evaluasi kegiatan pembelajaran yang telah dilaksanakan.
Berdasarkan ulasan di atas, maka permasalah yang muncul yaitu (1) Bagaimanakah penerapan metode Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC)untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa kelas IV mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia di MI Wahid Hasyim III Dau Malang? (2) Apakah penerapan metode Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) mampu meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia kelas IV MI Wahid Hasyim III Dau Malang?. Untuk menemukan solusi dari permasalahan tersebut, penulis mengadakan penelitian dengan menggunakan desain penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitian tindakan kelas ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif.
Dari hasil penelitian yang telah peneliti laksanakan, secara menyeluruh dapat diketahui bahwa penerapan metode CIRC sangat membantu siswa dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca. Hal itu dapat diketahui dari hasil akhir evaluasi yang menunjukkan peningkatan pada kompetensi membaca siswa serta hasil belajar siswa yang mengalami peningkatan yaitu pada kegitan pra tindakan peningkatan sebesar 48% dengan rata-rata nilai 54, siklus I mengalami peningkatan sebesar 59% dengan rata-rata nilai 69, dan siklus II mengalami peningkatan sebesar 88% dengan rata-rata nilai 76.
ABSTRACT
Method of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) is one method emphasizes cooperative that focuses on developing students' ability to read and write. In its implementation of this method helps students understand a reading by groups. Each member of the group exchanging ideas with someone else, so that students actively in learning activities.
The stages in the implementation of the CIRC method is to identify a topic and organize the working group (faction membahasan selected topic), plotting the task group activities, implement learning (gathering information and data to achieve kesimpilan menganilisis), prepare a final report (specify the message contained in learning activities), evaluation of learning activities that have been implemented.
Based on the reviews above, then the problems that arise are (1) How is the application of methods of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) to increase students' fourth grade reading ability of subjects of Indonesian in MI Wahid Hasyim III Dau Malang? (2) Is the application of methods of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) to increase students' reading ability Indonesian subjects classes III IV MI Wahid Hasyim Dau Malang?. To find solutions to these problems, the authors conducted research using action research design class (PTK). Classroom action research uses a qualitative approach.
From the results of research studies have been carried out, overall it is known that the application of the method CIRC greatly assist students in improving reading skills. It can be seen from the results of the final evaluation showed an increase in students' reading competence and learning outcomes of students who experienced an increase in activity of pre-action is an increase of 48% with an average value of 54, I cycle increased by 59% with an average value 69, and cycle II increased by 88% with an average value of 76.
