Pusat wisata kuliner khas Kabupaten Gresik dengan Ppendekatan Extending Tradition

ABSTRAK:

Kabupaten Gresik merupakan salah satu kota yang terkenal akan wisata religinya. Hal ini memberikan peluang sukses dalam beberapa pasar, tidak terkecuali pasar bidang kuliner. Meningkatnya jumlah wisatawan tiap tahunnya juga merupakan sebuah kesempatan baik untuk pemerintah Kabupaten Gresik untuk mengenalkan beberapa kuliner Khas Gresik. Namun sayangnya, Kabupaten Gresik belum menyediakan fasilitas pendukung untuk mewadahi kegiatan tersebut. Oleh karena itu, perancangan pusat wisata kuliner merupakan sebuah solusi untuk mengatasi hal tersebut. Pusat wisata kuliner ini nantinya tidak hanya terfokus pada stan-stan makanan saja, tetapi juga dilengkapi dengan fasilitas hiburan dan juga taman bermain. Selain itu, untuk pendekatan yang digunakan pada objek rancangan ini adalah Extending Tradition yang merupakan bagian dari Regionalisme. Diharapkan pendekatan ini bisa menjadi suatu wadah untuk sarana rekreasi yang tetap mempertahankan nilai- nilai dari arsitektur di masa lampau, namun dikemas dan dikembangkan sesuai dengan masa kini secara inovatif. Baik dalam segi fisik bangunan maupun dalam menanggapi sebuah permasalahan yang ada disekitar kawasan.

Gresik Regency is one of the cities that is famous for its religious tourism. This provides an opportunity for success in several markets, including the culinary market. The increasing number of tourists every year is also a good opportunity for the Gresik Regency government to introduce some Gresik specialties. But unfortunately, Gresik Regency has not provided supporting facilities to accommodate these activities. Therefore, the design of a culinary tourism center is a solution to overcome this. This culinary tourism center will not only focus on food stalls, but also equipped with entertainment facilities and playgrounds. In addition, the approach used in this design object is the Extending Tradition which is part of Regionalism. It is hoped that this approach can be a forum for recreational facilities that still maintain the values of the architecture of the past, but are packaged and developed according to the present in an innovative manner. Both in terms of the physical building and in responding to a problem that exists around the area.
