Evaluasi Usability Repository STIE PGRI Dewantara Jombang menggunakan metode System Usability Scale (SUS) dan Discovery Prototyping

Institutional Repository (IR) merupakan salah satu layanan koleksi digital yang disediakan oleh perguruan tinggi. Perpustakaan STIE PGRI Dewantara Jombang menyediakan IR untuk memenuhi kebutuhan koleksi penggunanya. Akan tetapi dalam penggunaanya, masih terdapat kendala yang dialami oleh pengguna seperti letak basic search yang kurang strategis, tombol advance search yang tidak terlihat di halaman depan, dan tampilan interface yang kurang menarik. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukanya evaluasi usability Repository STIE PGRI Dewantara Jombang menggunakan metode System Usability Scale (SUS) dan discovery prototyping. Evaluasi bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil nilai usability Repository STIE PGRI Dewantara Jombang serta mengetahui apakah SUS dan discovery prototyping memiliki pengaruh positif atau negatif terhadap usability. Penelitian dimulai dengan studi literatur untuk bahan penunjang peneliti dalam proses penelitian. Metode penelitian yang digunakan peneliti adalah metode kuantitatif deskriptif, dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 96 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa kuisioner, observasi, dan wawancara. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu rumus berdasarkan metode System Usability Scale (SUS). Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diketahui bahwa nilai usability yang didapat adalah 54,32. Nilai usability pengujian awal mendapatkan kategori adjective rating “poor” dan mendapat grade “D” karena masuk dalam rentang nilai 51–68. Prototype dibuat berdasarkan usulan perbaikan yang berasal dari responden melalui pengerjaan task scenario yang digunakan sebagai petunjuk dalam proses pembuatan prototype agar menjadi lebih baik. Kemudian setelah dilakukan perbaikan, nilai yang didapat mengalamai peningkatan menjadi 73,72, Nilai tersebut masuk dalam kategori adjective rating “Good” dan mendapat grade “B” karena masuk dalam rentang nilai 68–80.3. terjadi peningkatan sebesar 19,4. Hal ini dapat membuktikan bahwa pembuatan prototype berhasil dan metode SUS serta discovery prototyping mempunyai pengaruh positif terhadap usability. Harapanya dengan adanya penelitian ini dapat dilakukan perbaikan terhadap repository STIE PGRI Dewantara Jombang dengan tujuan untuk penggunaan yang lebih mudah dan efisien.

Institutional Repository (IR) is a digital collection service provided by the higher education institutions. Regarding this, STIE PGRI Dewantara Jombang’s Library provides IR to meet the collection needs of its users. However, the users still encountered problems while using it. Some of the problems are the location of the basic search that is less strategic, the “advanced search” button that does not appear on the front page, and the less attractive interface. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the usability of the Repository of STIE PGRI Dewantara Jombang in using the System Usability Scale (SUS) and discovery prototyping The evaluation aims to find out the results of the usability value of the Repository of STIE PGRI Dewantara Jombang and to find out whether SUS and discovery prototyping have a positive or negative effect on usability. The research begins with a literature study as the supporting materials for researchers during the research process. The research method used is descriptive quantitative method, with a total number of 96 respondents. The data collection techniques used are questionnaires, observations, and interviews. The data analysis used is a formula based on the SUS method. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that the usability value obtained is 54.32. The usability value of the initial test has been placed in the adjective rating "poor" category and acquires a "D" grade since it is included in the range of values between 51-68. Prototypes are made based on the suggestions for improvements given by the respondents through working on task scenarios used as a guide in the prototyping process in order to make it better. After maintenances were made, the value increased to 73.72. This value is placed in the “Good” adjective rating category and received a “B” grade because it was included in the value range of 68 to 80.3. It means that there was an increase, which is 19.4. This can prove that the prototyping is successful. In addition, it also indicates that the SUS and discovery prototyping method have a positive influence on usability. It is hoped that this research can contribute to the improvements of the Repository of STIE PGRI Dewantara Jombang, focusing on the aim to make the repository easier and more efficient to use.

تم الحصول عليها زيادة إلى ٧٣.٧٢ ، وتم تضمين القيمة في الفئة المصنفة بالصفة "جيد" وحصلت على درجة "ب" لأنها كانت في نطاق
