Abstract
INDONESIA:
Adanya dinamika kehidupan pesantren yang kompleks dapat menjadi polemik tersendiri bagi para santri tahun pertama sehingga akan mempengaruhi kesejahteraan psikologis (psychological well-being) para santri. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengetahui : 1) tingkat self compassion 2) tingkat psychological well-being 3) dan untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara self compassion dengan psychological well-being pada santri tahun pertama Pondok Pesantren At-Tahdzib Jombang.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan variabel bebas self compassion dan variabel terikat psychological well-being. Populasi santri tahun pertama Pondok Pesantren At-Tahdzib Jombang berjumlah 312 dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Sampel yang digunakan sesuai kriteria sebanyak 76 santri tahun pertama Pondok Pesantren At-Tahdzib Jombang.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan tingkat psychological well-being pada santri tahun pertama pada kategori sedang sebesar 38 santri presentase 50% dan kategori tinggi sebesar 38 dengan presentase 50%. Sedangkan tingkat self compassion santri tahun pertama kategori sedang sebesar 63 santri sebesar 82% dan kategori tinggi sebesar 13 santri tahun pertama dengan presentase 17%. Selanjutnya diketahui pearson correlation yang didapat ialah sebesar 0.345 maka disimpulkan adanya hubungan positif antara self compassion dengan psychological well-being pada santri tahun pertama Pondok Pesantren At-Tahdzib Jombang.
ENGLISH:
The existence of the complex dynamics of pesantren life can become a separate polemic for the first year students so that it will affect the psychological well-being (psychological welfare) of the students. The aims of this study were to determine: 1) the level of compassion 2) the level of psychological well-being 3) and to find out whether there was a relationship between compassion and psychological well-being in the first year students of the At-Tahdzib Islamic boarding school Jombang.
This study uses a quantitative method with the independent variable being self-compassion and the dependent variable being psychological well-being. The population of students in the first year of the At-Tahdzib Islamic boarding school was 312 with purposive sampling. The sample used according to the criteria was 76 first year students of the At-Tahdzib Islamic boarding school Jombang.
The results of this study indicate that the level of psychological well-being in the first year students in the medium category is 38 students with a 50% percentage and the high category is 38 with a 50% percentage. Meanwhile, the level of self-compassion for first year students in the medium category was 63 students, 82% and the high category was 13 students for the first year with a percentage of 17%. Furthermore, it is known that the Pearson correlation obtained is 0.345, so it can be concluded that there is a positive relationship between self-compassion and psychological well-being in the first year students of the At-Tahdzib Islamic Boarding School Jombang.
