Abstract

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dan bentuk penelitian korelasional kuantitatif. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sebanyak 102 orang pada santri Pesantren Tebuireng Jombang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan metode kuesioner atau angket interaksi pembina santri prespektif santri sebanyak 28 aitem dengan reliabilitas α
= , 939, angket interaksi pembina santri prespektif pembina sebanyak 25 aitem dengan reliabilitas α = , 953 dan angket kontrol diri yang berjumlah 20 aitem dengan reliabilitas α = , 824. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah dengan cara mengklasifikasikan ke dalam tiga kategori; tinggi, sedang; rendah dan menggunakan regresi linier berganda.

Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan: (1) Interaksi Pembina Santri dan Kontrol diri 55,4%, (2) tingkat zuhud santri berada pada kategori tinggi dengan prosentase 58,9%, (3) tingkat motivasi berprestasi santri berada pada kategori sedang dengan prosentase 52,7%, dan (4) nilai F = 89,669 dengan nilai p = ,000. Hasil ini berarti hipotesis yang menyatakan adanya pengaruh konsep diri dan zuhud terhadap motivasi berprestasi adalah diterima. Sebagai rincian konsep diri secara parsial memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap motivasi berprestasi sebesar β = ,341 dengan p = ,000 dan zuhud secara parsial memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap motivasi berprestasi sebesar β = ,531 dengan p = ,000. Artinya zuhud memiliki pengaruh lebih besar terhadap motivasi berprestasi dibandingkan dengan pengaruh konsep diri terhadap motivasi berprestasi.

ABSTRACT

As we know, Islamic Boarding School (Pondok Pesantren) also has Islamic missionary and juvenile’s characteristic function besides its fundamental function as education institution. Santri is a term to mention student that live and study at Islamic Boarding School (Pesantren). Most of santri are juvenile, as most of santri at Tebuireng Remaja, although they have constructed their emotional management, self control and responsibility sense, but the external influences still has chance to influence their mind and attitude, as what we see from the increasing number of juvenile delinquency caused by the weakness of their self control. At pesantren we can see the close relationship between santri and their advisor. The advisor’s main responsibility is to manage santri’s attitude and control them based on the rules that exist either in the pesantren itself or in the society. From this relationship we can see some interactions that are wished have influence to control the santri’s attitude.

The research is taken at Pondok Pesantren Tebuireng Jombang, withe the objectives of the study are: 1) To know the interaction between the advisor and santri at PP Tebuireng. 2) To know the level of self control from santri at PP Tebuireng. 3) to know the influence of the interaction between the advisor and santri at PP Tebuireng.

The research is using descriptive quantitative method, and corelational research. The samples are taken purposively from 106 santri at Pondok Pesantren Tebuireng Jombang. The data are collected using quosioner method or quosioner about the interaction between the advisor and santri around 28 items with the reliability α =, 939, and quosioner about self control around 20 items with the reliability α =, 824. The analysis techniques is classifying the object into three category; high, intermediate, low and using classic linear regression.

Based on the research above the result of this thesis are: (1) The interaction between the advisor and santri can be categorized as “intermediate” with the precentage 71%, (2) The self control level of santri at PP Tebiireng Jombang can be categorized as “high” with the precentage 94,3%. (3) The researcher found the positive influence between the interaction of the advisor and santri and the self control of santri at PP Tebuireng Jombang. This relationship precentage is about 57,3%.
