Abstract
ABSTRAK
Stres biasa diartikan sebagai tekanan, ketegangan atau gangguan yang tidak menyenangkan yang berasal dari luar diri seseorang. Dengan adanya stres kerja ini memunculkan hipotesis adanya pengaruh stres kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan. Untuk menguji hipotesis tersebut diadakan penelitian dengan judul “Hubungan stres kerja dengan kinerja karyawan office PT ISM Bogasari Flour Mills Surabaya” penelitian ini dilakukan di PT ISM Bogasari Flour Mills Surabaya dengan karyawan office sebagai subjek penelitian.
Rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini adalah: 1. Bagaimanakah tingkat stress kerja karyawan office PT ISM Bogasari Flour Mills, Surabaya. 2. Bagaimanakah tingkat kinerja karyawan office PT ISM Bogasari Flour Mills, Surabaya. 3. Bagaimanakah hubungan stres kerja dengan kinerja karyawan office PT ISM Bogasari Flour Mills, Surabaya.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan kuantitatif regresi, dengan mengambil setting dan sampel karyawan office PT ISM Bogasari Flour Mills Surabaya. Menggunakan dua variabel yakni variabel bebas stres kerja dan variabel terikat kinerja karyawan sampel diambil dengan sampel total atau keseluruhan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik kuesioner. Untuk menhitung validitas dan reabilitas menggunakan teknik alpha cronbach sedangkan untuk analisa datanya menggunakan teknik prosentase.
Dari hasil penelitian menggunakan 43 responden terdapat 7 orang karyawan atau 17, 8% mengalami stres tinggi, 28 orang atau 62,2% mengalami tingkat stres sedang dan 9 orang karyawan atau 20% mengalami tingkat stres rendah. Adapun dari analisa tingkat kinerja karyawan dari 45 responden terdapat 8 orang karyawan atau 17, 8% mempunyai kinerja yang tinggi, 28 orang atau 62,2% mempunyai kinerja sedang dan 8 orang karyawan atau 20% memiliki yang kinerja rendah. Sementara dari hasil penghitungan regresi diperoleh signifikansi t 0, 000. Nilai signifikan t disni lebih kecil dari alpha α = 5% (0,000 ≤ 0, 05). Sehingga dapat ditarik kesimpulan, terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara stres kerja dengan kinerja karyawan office PT ISM Bogasri Flour Mills Surabaya. Jadi, dari hipotesis yang menyatakan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara stres kerja dengan kinerja karyawan office pada PT ISM Bogasari Flour Mills Surabaya diterima.
ABSTRACT
Stress is generally taken to mean unpleasant pressure, tense, or disturbance coming from the outside of a person. The theory of stress has led to a hypothesis of the correlation between job stress and employee performance. In order to verify such hypothesis, a study entitled The Effects of Job Stress on the Performance of the Office Employees at PT ISM Bogasari Flour Mills Surabaya is conducted. The research was performed at PT ISM Bogasari Flour Mills Surabaya with the office employees as the subject of the study.
The research problems in the study are: 1. How is the level of job stress of the office employees at PT ISM Bogasari Flour Mills Surabaya 2. How is the level of the employee performance at PT ISM Bogasari Flour Mills Surabaya 3. What is the connection between the job stress and the employee performance at PT ISM Bogasari Flour Mills Surabaya.
This study applies a quantitative approach by quantitative regression by taking the setting and samples from the office employees at PT ISM Bogasari Flour Mills Surabaya. Drawing on two variables, namely independent variable which is job stress and dependent variable which is employee performance, the sample is taken through the whole sample. The data is collected using questionnaire technique. To calculate the validity and the reliability, alpha cronbach technique is utilized, while to analyze the data, percentage technique is employed.
The result of the study shows that from 43 respondents, there are 7 employees or 17.8% undergoing high stress, 28 employees or 62.2% undergoing moderate stress, and 9 employees or 20% undergoing low stress. Whereas, the analysis of the employee performance shows that from 45 employees, there are 8 employees or 17.8% have high performance, 28 employees or 62.2% have moderate performance, and 8 employees or 20% have low performance. While the result of the calculation of the significant regression of t 0.000 shows that the level of t is lower that the level of alpha α=5% (0.000≤0.05). Therefore, it can be inferred that there is a significant effect of job stress on the performance of office employees at PT ISM Bogasari Flour Mills Surabaya. Hence, the hypothesis stating that there is a correlation between job stress and performance of the office employees at PT ISM Bogasari Flour Mills Surabaya is accepted.
