Hubungan antara komitmen religius dengan kebermaknaan hidup mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi UIN Maliki Malang

ABSTRAK

Dalam Psikologi Perkembangan mahasiswa berada pada rentang usia remaja akhir memasuki dewasa awal sekitar 18 – 20 tahun. Menurut Piaget perkembangan kognitif pada usia ini adalah operasional formal (formal operational thought), di usia ini mahasiswa sudah mampu merencanakan makna hidupnya, membuat hipotesis dan mencari alternatif solusi dari masalah yang dihadapinya.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat komitmen religius dengan tingkat kebermaknaan hidup mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi UIN MALIKI Malang tahun 2008 – 2010. Hipotesis yang diajukan adalah terdapat hubungan antara komitmen religius dengan kebermaknaan hidup mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi UIN MALIKI Malang.

Penelitian ini dilakukan pada mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi angkatan 2008 – 2010, dengan mengambil sempel sebanyak 108 orang dari populasi. Pengambilan sampel ini dilakukan dengan metode Purposive,dengan kritria sampel sebagai berikut : Mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi angkatan 2008 – 2010, berusia 18 – 21 tahun, mahasiswa yang masih aktif kuliah. Untuk mengukur komitmen religius dan kebermaknaan hidup menggunakan skala. Analisis yang digunakan adala korelasi pearson product moment, karena bertujuan untuk menguji hipotesa dari dua variabel yaitu variabel bebas (variabel x) komitmen religius dan variabel terikat (variabel y) makna hidup. Berdasarkan hasil analisa data, menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan positif yang signifikan antara komitmen religius terhadap kebermaknaan hidup. Tingkat koefisien korelasinya rxy = 0.526, r2 = 0.28 = 28% dengan taraf signifikan p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). Hal ini membuktikan bahwa komitmen religius berhubungan 28% dengan kebermaknaan hidup, semakin tinggi komitmen religius maka semakin tinggi kebermaknaan hidup.

In Developmental Psychology students are in the age range of late adolescence into early adulthood around 18-20 years. The study was conducted on students of the Faculty of Psychology force 2008 - 2010, by taking as many as 108 people sample of the population. Sampling is done by the method of purposive, with criteria sample as follows: Faculty of Psychology force 2008 - 2010, aged 18-21 years, college students who are still active. To measure religious commitment and the meaningfulness of life using a scale. The analysis used is Pearson product moment correlation, as it aims to test the hypothesis of two variables: independent variables (variables x) of religious commitment and the dependent variable (y variable) meaning of life. Based on the results of data analysis, showed that there was a significant positive relationship between religious commitment to the meaningfulness of life. Level of correlation coefficient rxy = 0526, r2 = 0.28 = 28% with significant level p = 0.000 (p <0.05). This proves that the religious commitment of 28% associated with the meaningfulness of life, the higher religious commitment, the higher the meaningfulness of life.
