Abstract
ABSTRAK
Peran kepala sekolah sebagai supervisor harus mampu mengembangkan potensi yang ada pada staf atau guru di sekolah agar dalam pelaksanaannya dapat berjalan secara efektif sehingga efektivitas pelaksanaan supervisi oleh kepala sekolah akan mempengaruhi kinerja guru dalam melaksanakan kurikulum yang telah ditetapkan oleh Rintisan Sekolah Menengah Atas Bertaraf Internasional (R- SMA-BI).
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami: (1) Peran kepala sekolah sebagai supervisor pengajaran PAI pada R-SMA-BI, (2) Kendala-kendala yang di hadapi kepala sekolah dalam menjalankan peran sebagai supervisor pengajaran PAI di SMA Negeri I Malang, beserta solusi yang di ambil oleh kepala sekolah.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis study kasus. Lokasi penelitian di SMA Negeri I Malang. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, para guru PAI dan sebagian siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan (1) wawancara terstruktur dan tidak terstruktur, (2) observasi non partisipasi, dan (3) studi dokumentasi. Anilis data melalui 3 proses, yaitu: (1) reduksi data, (2) penyajian data, dan (3) penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Pengecekan keabsahan data melalui ketekunan atau keajegan pengamatan dan triangulasi sumber dan teori.
Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa; (1) Kepala sekolah di SMA Negeri I Malang mempunyai peran penting sebagai supervisor pengajaran PAI, hal tersebut bisa ditinjau mulai dari perencanaan program supervisi pengajaran PAI, pelaksanaan program supervisi pengajaran PAI, dan tindak lanjut hasil supervisi pengajaran PAI yang dilaksanakan oleh kepala sekolah. (2) Kendala- kendala yang dihadapi kepala sekolah dalam menjalini tugasnya sebagai supervisor pengajaran PAI di SMA Negeri I Malang adalah; (a) Kurangnya minat guru untuk disupervisi, dan (b) Kesibukan kepala sekolah. Adapun solusi yang diambil oleh kepala sekolah dalam menyikapi kendala-kendala tersebut adalah; (a) Mensosialisasikan kepada guru bahwa supervisi itu penting, (b) Mensosialisasikan kepada guru bahwa di awal tahun ajaran harus sudah menyiapkan perangkat pembelajaran yang lengkap, (c) Kepala sekolah harus bertindak professional dalam membagi waktu, dalam arti walaupun di tengah-tengah kesibukan kepala sekolah, beliau harus bisa meluangkan waktunya untuk melaksanakan supervisi, walaupun pelaksanaannya hanya sebentar.
ABSTRACT
The principal role as supervisor should be able to develop the existing potential of staffs or teachers at school. Thus the implementation of it could run effectively. Due to it, the effectiveness of supervision implementation by the principal will influence the teacher performance in conducting their duties which constant by R-SMA-BI.
This research are aimed to understand: (1) The Principal roles as Islamic Educations Supervisor at R-SMA-BI, (2) the obstacles which are faced by the principal in doing his role as Islamic Educations Supervisor in SMAN I Malang, with the solution that are taken by the principal.
The research was using qualitative research approach with study case method. The research location at State Senior High School I Malang. The informants of this research are principal, Islamic education teachers and a part of the students. The data collection technique by using: (1) Structural interview and non structural interview (2) non participant observation, and (3) documentation study. Data analysis is done in three stages, that are (1) Data reduction, (2) Data display, (3) Conclusions pulling and verification. Data validity checking through regularity of observation and sources and theory triangulation.
The results showed that: (1) The principal in SMA Negeri I Malang has an important role as Islamic education teaching supervision, It was observed from the planning program of Islamic education teaching supervision, the implantation of Islamic education teaching supervision and executive action of Islamic education teaching supervision that are done by the principal. (2) The constrains that are faced by the principal when do his job as Islamic education teaching supervision in SMA Negeri I Malang are: (a) most of the teachers are lest interest in supervision implementation, (b) The bustle of the principal. Furthermore the solution that taken by the principal to face the constrains are (a) Socialize to all of the teachers that teaching supervision is important, (b) Socialize to all of the teachers in the first school year that they must prepare the instrument of teaching, (c) The principal must professional in managing the time, it mean within the bustle of his, he has to spare his time to conduct the implementation of supervision, even in e view minute.
