Abstract

ABSTRAK

Dalam meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran agama Islam, perlu upaya-upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam yang setiap hari mendidik dan mengajarkan materi pelajaran agama Islam. Guru Pendidikan Agama Islam mempunyai peran yang sangat besar terhadap pelaksanaan pembelajaran agama Islam bagi anak didiknya. Guru pendidikan Agama Islam harus mampu menguasai, mengendalikan, dan mengelola kelas sehingga proses kegiatan belajar mengajar menjadi lancar dan tujuan pembelajaran agama Islam dapat tercapai.

Masalah yang akan diteliti dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana upaya guru Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran Agama Islam di SMP Negeri 5 Malang dan kendala apa saja yang dihadapi guru Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran Agama Islam di SMP Negeri 5 Malang.

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berbentuk diskriptif. Dalam mengumpulkan data, penulis menggunakan metode observasi, interview, dan dokumentasi. Untuk menganalisa data yang telah diperoleh, maka penulis menggunakan teknik analisa deskriptif kualitatif dengan pertimbangan bahwa penelitian ini berusaha menggambarkan dan mempresentasikan data secara sistematis, ringkas dan sederhana. Proses analisis data yang dilakukan oleh peneliti yaitu dengan langkah-langkah sebagai berikut: reduksi data, display data atau penyajian data, dan menarik kesimpulan atau verifikasi.

Hasil dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan adalah guru Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMP Negeri 5 Malang kreatif, professional, menyenangkan, menyediakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif, menciptakan iklim pembelajaran yang demokratis, membantu peserta didik menemukan solusi dalam setiap masalah yang dihadapinya, menjadi teladan, mengembangkan kreatifitas siswa, mendisiplinkan peserta didik dengan kasih sayang, membangkitkan nafsu belajar siswa, mendayagunakan fasilitas yang tersedia, menggunakan metode pembelajaran yang bervariasi, dan menambah program pembelajaran agama Islam di luar kurikulum.

Untuk meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran Agama Islam, guru Pendidikan
Agama Islam menemui beberapa kendala. Dapat diidentifikasi bahwa kendala tersebut adalah siswa tidak bisa membaca Al Qur’an, siswa tidak mengerjakan tugas, siswa ramai dan nakal, siswa tidak konsentrasi, siswa melakukan aktifitas lain selain pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam, guru Pendidikan Agama Islam berhalangan hadir.

ABSTRACT

In improving the quality of Islamic education at school, it needs efforts that are done by side of school, especially the teacher of Islamic education who always educates and teaches students about Islamic education subject everyday. The teacher of Islamic education has the big role to the implementation of the Islamic education learning to proteges, because the teacher of Islamic education as driver who holds the reins of the process of Islamic education learning, the proteges are like passengers at that vehicle. The teacher must be able to master, hold the reins, and manage class in order to make study-teach activity is able to run well and the purpose of Islamic education learning is able to be reached, it is making students to study to be able to comprehend, inspire, and apply the values of Islam religion through guidance activity, teaching or rehearsal.

The purpose that is wanted to be reached in this research is: to make description about the efforts of the teacher of Islamic education in improving the quality of Islamic education learning SMP Negeri 5 Malang and to make description about the obstacles that are faced by the teacher of Islamic education in improving the quality of Islamic education learning SMP Negeri 5 Malang.

This research used qualitative approach with descriptive form. The data collecting were through observation, interview and documentation. To analyze the data, researcher used the analyze technique of descriptive qualitative. The process of data analysis was done by following these steps: the first data reduction is the classification and centralization of data was obtained in the field, the second is display of data collect by giving the possibility of conclusions and actions, the third is verify to make conclusion.

The result of this research can be concluded as follows: in improving the quality of Islamic education learning SMP Negeri 5 Malang, the teacher must be creative, professional, and gratify person. The teacher must prepare the grafity study environment, create democrational learning climate, help students to find the problem solving, become paragon, evolving the creativity of students by affection, arousing the study interest of students, use the facility, use the variation of learning methods, and increase the program of Islamic education learning out of the curriculum.

To improve the quality of Islamic education learning, the teacher of Islamic education faced some obstacles. It could be identified that the obstacles were the students who were not be able to read Al-Qur’an, the students did not do the homework, the students were noisy and naughty, the students were not be able to concentrate and did other activity of Islamic education learning, water cock at musholla were flowing little, and the teacher of Islamic education had obstacles to present at class.
