Abstract
INDONESIA:
Matematika dikenal sebagai ilmu deduktif, karena proses mencari kebenaran (generalisasi) dalam matematika berbeda dengan ilmu pengetahuan alam dan ilmu pengetahuan yang lain. Metode pencarian kebenaran yang dipakai adalah metode deduktif, tidak dapat dengan cara induktif. Matematika merupakan salah salah satu mata pelajaran yang termuat dalam kurikulum sekolah dasar, yang implementasinya berbasis pada matematika kompleks. Pengajaran matematika selama ini cenderung dikembangkan melalui pola pengajaran teori-contoh-latihan.
Fokus penelitian dan pengembangan ini meliputi: 1) Respon penggunaan media pembelajaran matematika berupa comic book untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar tematik materi jaring-jaring bangun ruang pada siswa kelas IV SD NU Bahrul Ulum Malang. 2) Hasil penggunaan media pembelajaran matematika berupa comic book terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar tematik materi jaring-jaring bangun ruang pada siswa kelas IV SD NU Bahrul Ulum Malang.
Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development). Prosedur pengembangan menggunakan desain penelitian model penelitian dan pengembangan menurut Borg and Gall yaitu suatu proses yang dipakai untuk mengembangkan dan memvalidasi produk pendidikan.
Penelitian ini menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran dengan sumber belajar media komik materi jaring-jaring bangun ruang. Kualitas komik berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi, yaitu diperoleh hasil persentase 78% adalah valid, ahli desain media diperoleh hasil persentase 86% adalah sangat valid, guru bidang studi tematik diperoleh hasil persentase 95% adalah sangat valid, dan berdasarkan respon siswa diperoleh hasil persentase 80, 60% adalah valid.
ENGLISH:
Mathematics is known as deductive science because the process of seeking for validity (generalization) in mathematics is different from natural science and other sciences. The method of validity finding used is deductive method, not inductive one. Mathematics is one of the subjects which is included in elementary school curriculum, in which its implementation is based on complex mathematics. Mathematics learning during this time tends to be developed through theory-example-exercise learning pattern.
The focus of the present study and development includes: 1) How the responses of the use of mathematic learning media with comic book to improve thematic learning output of Content nets Build Space on 6th grade students in SD NU Bahrul Ulum Malang. 2) How are the results of the use of mathematic learning media with comic book to improve thematic learning output of Content nets Build Space on 6th grade students in SD NU Bahrul Ulum Malang.
This research is included in Research and Development research design. The development procedure used is research and development model by Borg and Gall, that is to say a process used to improve and validate the product of education.
This research produces a learning device in the form of comics of Content nets Build Space. The quality of the comics from material expert obtained is 78% for valid, from design expert obtained is 86% for very valid, from thematic teacher obtained is 95% for very valid and from students’ responses obtained is 80, 60% for valid.
