Abstract

INDONESIA:

Penyesuaian diri sebagai interaksi terus-menerus antara individu dengan lingkungannya melibatkan sistem behavioral, kognisi, dan emosional. Sedangkan dukungan sosial orang tua merupakan informasi tanggapan dari pihak lain yang disayangi dan mencakup suatu hubungan komunikasi dan situasi yang saling bergantung. Dengan memiliki hubungan komunikasi yang baik maka siswa dapat dikatakan sukses dalam melakukan penyesuaian diri yang ditandai dengan diterimanya siswa dilingkungan sekolahnya. Selain itu self-efficacy akademik yang baik juga sangat membantu siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah maupun tugas sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Hubungan dukungan sosial orang tua dan self-efficacy akademik terhadap penyesuaian diri siswa kelas VII SMP Plus DarussalamBlokagung Banyuwangi.

Rancangan penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif korelasional. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas VII SMP Plus Darussalam Blokagung Banyuwangi. Sampel berjumlah 60 responden, yakni 16 siswa putra dan 44 siswa putri dengan tekhnik random sampling. Adapun ketiga skala yang digunakan skala adaptasi dari: 1.Variabel penyesuaian diri: Runyon dan Haber 2.Variabel Dukungan Sosial Orang tua: Sarafino House & Ofrod 3.Variabel Self-efficacy akademik: Bandura.

Sesuai dengan rumusan masalah yang ada maka hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) tingkat dukungan sosial orang tua siswa pada kategori tinggi sebanyak 98,33%. 2) tingkat self-efficacy akademik siswa pada kategori sedang seabanyak 110,47%. 3) tingkat penyesuaian diri pada kategori tinggi sebanyak 97,39%. 4) Hasil analisis korelasi dukungan sosial orang tua dengan penyesuaian diri siswa dalam belajar diperoleh r parsial = 0,552; r² = 0,305 dengan p = 0,000 (p < 0,05). Korelasi positif antara dukungan sosial orang tua dengan penyesuaian diri siswa dalam belajar, dengan sumbangan efektif sebesar 69%. 5) Hasil analisis korelasi self-efficacy akademik dengan penyesuaian diri siswa dalam belajar diperoleh r parsial = 0,801; r² = 0,642 dengan p = 0,000 (p < 0,05). Ada korelasi positif antara self-efficacy akademik dengan penyesuaian diri siswa dalam belajar, dengan sumbangan efektif sebesar 36%. 6) Self-efficacy akademik dan dukungan sosial orang tua secara bersama-sama berhubungan dengan penyesuaian diri siswa dalam belajar, dengan sumbanagn efektif sebesar 63%.

ENGLISH:

Adaptation as a constant interaction between the individual and the environment involves a system of behavioral, cognitive, and emotional. While the social support of parents is an information response from others who loves and includes interdependent relationship of communication and situations. By having good communication links, the students can be said to be successful in doing adaptation characterized by the acceptance of students' school environment. Academic self-efficacy is also very good help students in solving problems and school assignments. This study aimed to determine the relation of parental social support and academic self-efficacy against adaptation of student class vii of Junior High School plus Darussalam Blokagung Banyuwangi

The design of this study was a quantitative correlation. The subjects of research students were class VII SMP Plus Darussalam Blokagung Banyuwangi. Samples were 60 respondents, namely 16 male students and 44 female students with a random sampling technique. As for the three scales used scale adaptation of: 1.Variabel of adaptation: Runyon and Haber. 2. Variable of Social Support of Parents: Sarafino House & Ofrod 3. Variable of Academic Self-efficacy: Bandura.

In accordance with the formulation of the problem, the results showed that 1) the level of social support of parents of students in the high category as much as 98.33%. 2) The level of a student's academic self-efficacy in the middle category as much as 110.47%. 3) The level of adaptation in the high category as much as 97.39%. 4) The results of correlation analysis of social support of parents with students adaptation in learning obtained partial r = 0.552; r² = 0.305, p = 0.000 (p <0.05). The positive correlation between social supports of parents with student’s adaptation in learning contributed the effective of 69%. 5) The results of the analysis of academic self-efficacy correlation with the adaptation of students in learning obtained partial r = 0.801; r² = 0.642, p = 0.000 (p <0.05). There was a positive correlation between academic self-efficacy with adaptation of students in learning, with the effective contribution of 36%. 6) Self-efficacy of academic and social support of parents jointly associated with the adaptation of students in learning, with the effective contribution of 63%.
