Abstract
ABSTRAK
Pendidikan merupakan investasi jangka panjang bagi sumber daya manusia yang mempunyai nilai yang dapat mempengaruhi kelangsungan peradaban manusia di Dunia. Oleh karena itu, hampir seluruh Negara mengutamakan pendidikan dalam konteks pembangunan bangsa dan Negara. Hal tersebut juga dapat didapati dalam isi pembukaan Undang-Undang Dasar Republik Indonesia alinea ke IV yang menegaskan salah satu tujuan nasional Negara Indonesia adalah mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa. Akan tetapi, dari data UNESCO tahun 2007 dengan mengeluarkan laporan Education Development Index (EDI), kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia ditempatkan pada posisi ke-62 dari 129 Negara yang dengan kata lain, masih dalam kondisi yang memprihatinkan.
Fuad Hasan, mantan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Indonesia ketika dimintai pendapat tentang kondisi pendidikan di Indonesia, memberikan statement: “Janganterlalu ribut tentang kurikulum dan sistemnya, itu semua bukan apa-apa. Justru pelaku-pelakunya itulah yang lebih penting diperhatikan”. Dari statement beliau tersebut, seorang pendidik dituntut untuk menjadi guru yang professional, karena keprofesionalitasan seorang guru akan mempengaruhi keefesienan dan keefektifitasan proses pembelajarannya yang akan disampaikan kepada siswanya.
Permasalahan yang dibahas dalam skripsi ini adalah bagaimana pengaruh kompetensi profesionalitas guru Agama terhadap proses pembelajaran mata pelajaran PAI di SMP Negeri 13 Malang dan juga bagaimana interpretasi guru agama SMP Negeri 13 Malang mengenai peningkatan keprofesionalitasannya dalam mengajar. Adapun jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam skripsi ini adalah penelitian lapangan yang didukung dengan penelitian kepustakaan, bersifat deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Dimana pengumpulan datanya melalui observasi, wawancara, penyebaran Questionnaire dan dokumentasi dengan menggunakan analisis data deskripsi kualitatif (untuk data yang tidak direalisasikan dengan angka) dan untuk data kuantitatif menggunakan rumus prosentase dan teknik korelasi data.
Pada hasil akhir dalam skripsi ini, dapat penulis simpulkan sebagai berikut. Pertama, proses pembelajaran yang disampaikan oleh guru Agama SMP Negeri 13 Malang penulis simpulkan bagus, dimana kesimpulan tersebut dilihat dari beberapa penilaian dari 78 siswa:(1) penilaian kedisiplinan, 33,33% menilai sangat bagus dan 42,31% menilai bagus; (2) penggunaan kehidupan sehari-hari sebagai contoh materi, 28,20% menilai bagus dan 61,54% menilai bagus; (3) penilaian kemampuan menjawab pertanyaan siswa, 50% menilai sangat bagus dan 35,9% menilai bagus; (4) pemberian pekerjaan rumah kepada siswa, 44,87% menilai sangat bagus dan 42,31% bagus; (5) pemeriksaan tugas oleh guru, 41,02% menilai sangat bagus dan 46,15% menilai bagus; (6) pembahasan tugas, 47,44% menilai sangat bagus dan 46,15% menilai bagus; (7) tanggung jawab, 51,28% menilai sangat bagus dan 35,89% menilai bagus; (8) penguasaan kelas, 28,20% menilai sangat bagus dan 34,62% menilai bagus; (9)komunikasi, 34,62% menilai sangat bagus dan 47,44% menilai bagus; (10) memperhatikan keadaan siswa,
26,92% menilai sangat bagus dan 50% menilai bagus; (11) pemberian semangat belajar, 35,9% menilai sangat bagus dan 32,05% menilai bagus; (12)pemberian bimbingan dalam memahami pelajaran, 37,18% menilai sangat bagus dan 46,15% menilai bagus; (13) penghargaan terhadap orang lain, 29,48% menilai sangat bagus dan 53,85% menilai bagus; (14) stabilitas emosi, 35,895 menilai sangat bagus dan 33,335 menilai bagus; (15) komitmen, 37,18% menilai sangat bagus dan 34,61% menilai bagus; (16) obyektifitas penilaian, 75,64% sangat bagus dan 19,23% menilai bagus. Kedua, Untuk meningkatkan profesionalitasan seorang pengajar menurut pendapat guru PAI SMP Negeri 13 Malang yaitu dengan memberdayakan potensi dan prestasi pengajar, misalnya mengikuti perkembangan teknologi dan mengakses ilmu pengetahuan maupun informasi yang baru.
ABSTRACT
Education is along-term investment for human resource that has a value that can affect the survival of human civilization in the World. Therefore, almost states prioritize the educationin the context of nation-building and state. It can also be found in the content of the opening of the Republic ofIndonesia‟s Constitutionin fourth paragraph, that confirms one of the national objectives Indonesia is anation's intellectual life. But, data from UNESCO in 2007, with released a report of Education Development Index (EDI), that quality of education in Indonesia is placed at position 62 of the 129 countries which in other words, it is still in poor condition.
Fuad Hasan, ex Minister of Education and Culture of Indonesia when asked about the condition of education in Indonesia, providing a statement: "Do not make too much noise about the curriculum and the system, it's all nothing. Because, precisely the perpetrators are more important to note". From his statement, an educator is required to be a professional teacher, because the teacher professionalism will affect the learning process to be presented to students.
The problems discussed in this thesis is how the professional competence of teachers of Religious toward learning Islamic Education subject at Junior High School 13 Malang and also how the interpretation from religious teachers of Junior High School 13 Malang regarding the efforts made to improve the professionalism in teaching. The type of research used in this thesis is aempiric research that is supported by library research, it is descriptive by using a quantitative approach. Where,the data collection through observation, interviews, Questionnaire deployment and documentation. This thesis also using qualitative description sof data analysis (for data that is not realized by the numbers) and for quantitative data using percentage formula and the data correlation techniques.
At the end of the results in this thesis, the authors can conclude the following. First, the learning process by the teacher of Religious at Junior High School 13 Malang is good, that conclusions visits of the assessment of some 78 students: (1) assessment of discipline, a very good judge of 33.33% and 42.31% good judge; (2) the use of daily lives as material samples, 28.20% judge very good and 61.54% good judge, (3) an assessment of students' ability to answer the question, 50% very good judge and 35.9% good judge, (4) giving home work to students, assess 44.87% judge very good and 42.31% judge good, (5) checks the task by the teacher, 41.02% assess very good and 46.15% givt good judge, (6) discussion of the task, 47,44% rate it very good and nice assess 46.15%; (7) responsibility, 51.28% assess very good and good judge 35.89%; (8) mastery of grade, 28.20% rate it very good and 34,62% good judge; (9) communication, assess very good 34.62% and 47.44% good judge; (10) considering the circumstances of students, 26.92% rate it very good and 50% good judge; (11) giving spirit of learning, very good judge of 35.9% and 32.05% good judge; (12) providing guidance in understanding the lesson, 37.18% assess very good and 46.15% good judge; (13) respect for others, 29.48% assess very good and 53.85% good judge; (14) emotional stability, 35.89% assess very good and 33.33% good judge; (15) commitments, 37.18% assess very good and 34.61% good judge; (16) objectivity of the assessment, 75.64% assess very good and 19.23% good judge. Second, efforts to improve teacher professionalism is to empower potential and achievements of teachers, for example, keep up with technology and access to knowledge and new information.
