Abstract
ABSTRAK
Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara dengan guru bidang studi, metode yang sering digunakan adalah metode ceramah dan pemberian tugas individual. Di SLTP Islam Krembung Kabupaten Sidoarjo tidak mempunyai kelas unggulan, kemampuan akademik siswa di dalam kelas heterogen. Hanya 47,6% dari 42 siswa pada kelas VIII-B memenuhi standar ketuntasan minimum, sehingga dapat dikatakan kelas VIII-B belum tuntas. Suatu kelas dikatakan tuntas belajarnya jika dikelas tersebut terdapat 80% siswa telah mencapai ketuntasan individual. Metode pembelajaran yang digunakan guru PAI membuat siswa di dalam kelas belum memiliki team work, sehingga hubungan personal antar siswa belum terbangun atau bisa dikatakan siswa memiliki sifat individualis. Sikap siswa ini mengakibatkan tingkat pemahaman siswa dalam kelas berbeda-beda. Dengan penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif model TGT (Team Games Tournament) diharapkan semua siswa secara merata dapat memahami materi yang diajarkan oleh guru, sehingga dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar PAI siswa kelas VIII-B SLTP Islam Krembung Kabupaten Sidoarjo melalui penerapan model pembelajaran TGT (Team Games Tournament). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus tindakan. Dalam penelitian ini data yang diperoleh adalah berupa data pelaksanaan penerapan tindakan yang dilakukan oleh guru, data hasil belajar siswa tiap siklus, catatan lapangan dan lembar observasi proses pembelajaran. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah soal turnamen, format dokumentasi, lembar observasi pelaksanaan penerapan tindakan guru, catatan lapangan dan lembar observasi proses pembelajaran.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif model TGT (Team Games Tournament) dalam bidang studi PAI dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa kelas VIII-B SLTP Islam Krembung Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa, hal ini dibuktikan dari hasil tes sebelum diadakannya penelitian, siklus I dan siklus II yang prosentasenya 63,21%,45,08%, sampai 72%.
Berdasarkan penelitian ini, bagi para guru disarankan untuk menerapkan pembelajaran kooperatif model TGT (Team Games Tournament) pada pokok bahasan selain mengenal hukum bacaan qalqalah, ra‟ ,lam dan mengenal hukum bacaan mad sebagai alternatif dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Para guru hendaknya juga lebih mendorong dan memotivasi siswa agar lebih giat belajar baik di rumah maupun disekolah.
ABSTRACT
According to the observation result and some interviews with the teacher, the method that is often used is communicative method and giving individual task. There is no acceleration class at Islamic Junior High School of Krembung Sidoarjo, and the student‟s academic ability in the class is heterogenic. Only
47,6% from 42 students in the grade VIII-B that fulfill the minimum completeness standard, it means that the students of grade VIII-B is not complete yet. The studying in a class can be called complete if 80% of the students have already completed individually. The learning method which is used by PAI teacher makes the students in the class do not have team work yet, so that there is no personal cooperation between the students or we are able to say that the students become individualist. This attitude can make the students have had difference in understanding lesson in the class. By applying the cooperative learning by TGT (Team Games Tournament) model, hope that all students are able to understand the lesson that is given by the teacher, with the result that students can increase their study achievement.
The aim of this research is to increase learning achievement of PAI subject of students grade VIII-B at Islamic Junior High School of Krembung Sidoarjo by applying TGT (Team Games Tournament) model. This observation is a kind of class action research that is done in two cycle action. In this research the data which is reached are form of data implementation of applying action done by the teacher, the student result of learning data in each cycles, some notes and observation sheets of learning process. The instrument used is tournament questions, format of documentation, observation sheets of implementation of applying teacher action, some notes and observation sheets of learning process.
The results of the research show that the application of cooperative learning by TGT (Team Games Tournament) model in PAI subject can increase students learning achievement grade VII-B at Islamic Junior High School of Krembung Sidoarjo. The application of cooperative learning can increase students achievement, this is proven of the test results of prior to the convention of research, the cycle I and II who percentage cycle 63,21 %, 45,08 %, to 72 %.
According to this research, besides knowing the way to read Qolqolah, Ra‟, Lam and Mad, suggested for the teacher to apply cooperation learning by TGT (Team Games Tournament) model in the point of studying as the alternative of learning implementation. And also the teachers should support and motivate the students in order the students have more enthusiasm in studying whether in home or in the school.
