Abstract
INDONESIA:
Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk membuat benang jahit operasi yang absorbable dan tidak menyebabkan peradangan ketika digunakan. Proses pembuatan benang jahit operasi dibuat dengan mencampurkan bahan-bahan yang terdiri dari getah jarak, polivinil alkohol, asam glikolat dan aquades dalam gelas ukur lalu diaduk hingga homogen di atas magnetic stirrer dengan suhu 65 ºC. Larutan kemudian dicetak dan didiamkan hingga kering di dalam oven dengan suhu 65 ºC. Setelah itu dilakukan uji kualitas dengan melakukan uji FTIR, uji kekuatan tarik, uji kelarutan, dan uji antibakteri. Hasil dari uji FT-IR sampel menunjukkan adanya beberapa gugus fungsi. Gugus tersebut antara lain gugus karbonil (C=O), gugus alkana (C=C), dan gugus hidroksil (O=H). Hasil pengujian kekuatan dengan uji tarik terbesar adalah 14,467 (Newton) pada variasikomposisi 50:50:0 (%V). Sedangkan uji kelarutan sampel larut dalam PBS rata-rata setelah 12 hari. Adapun hasil uji antibakteri menunjukkan bahwa penambahan getah jarak meningkatkan diameter hambat maksimal 11,4 mm pada konsentrasi getah jarak 50 %V.

This study was done to make the absorbable suture and do not cause inflammation when used. The process of making suture is made by mixing ingredients comprising purging of Jatropha, polyvinyl alcohol, glycolic acid and distilled water in a measuring cup and stir until homogeneous over a magnetic stirrer at a temperature of 65 ° C. The solution is then printed out and left to dry in the oven with a temperature of 65 ° C. Once that is done the quality test with FTIR test, tensile strength test, solubility test and antibacterial test. The results of FT-IR test samples showed the presence of several functional groups. The group, among others carbonyl (C=O), group alkanes (C=C), and the hydroxyl group (O-H). Results of testing the strength of the greatest tensile test was 14.467 (Newton) on variation composisition 50:50:0 (%V). While the solubility test samples dissolved in PBS on average after 12 days. The test results showed that the addition purging of Jatropha antibacterial increases the diameter of 11.4 mm at the maximal inhibitory sap concentration distance of 50% V.
