Abstract
INDONESIA:
Kerapatan energi dan tingkat performa grafit yang tidak efisien telah membatasi penggunaannya sebagai penyimpan energi, maka perlu diperlukan modifikasi permukaan grafit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi temperatur sintering terhadap struktur mikro grafit terlapisi karbon dan kualitas pelapisan grafit terlapisi karbon, serta pengaruh respon karakteristik elektrokimia pada pelapisan grafit. Pelapisan grafit oleh citric acid dilakukan dengan cara sintesis dengan komposisi grafit:citric acid adalah 1:1. Variasi temperatur sintering yaitu 500 ºC, 600 ºC, dan 700 ºC. Kapasitas optimum terdapat pada sampel 3 dengan temperatur sintering 700 ºC. Analisa berdasarkan struktur mikro (XRD) tidak ada perbedaan antara satu sampel dengan yang lainnya. Berdasarkan kualitas pelapisan yang ditunjukkan pada hasil uji SEM-EDX dimana unsur C lebih banyak dibandingkan unsur O, sampel 1 memiliki unsur O paling banyak dibandingkan sampel 3 dan sampel 2. Menurut hasil uji CV pada siklus kedua dan siklus ketiga, sampel 3 memiliki puncak anodik paling tinggi dibanding sampel 1 dan sampel 2. Sampel grafit terlapisi citric acid dengan suhu tinggi lebih baik dari sisi kapasitasnya. Namun pada temperatur rendah (500 ºC dan 600 ºC), kapasitas sampel grafit murni lebih baik dibandingkan sampel grafit terlapisi citric acid.

Inefficiencies in energy density and level of performance graphite have limited its use as a store of energy, it is necessary modifications needed graphite surface. This study aims to determine the effect of variations in temperature sintering to microstructure of graphite coated with carbon and carbon coated graphite coating quality, as well as the influence of the response characteristics of the electrochemical coating graphite. Graphite coating by citric acid done by the synthesis with graphite composition: citric acid is 1: 1. Variations sintering temperature of 500 ºC, 600 ºC and 700 ºC. Optimum capacity contained in the sample 3 with a sintering temperature of 700 ºC. The analysis of the microstructure (XRD) there is no difference between one sample to another. Based on the quality of the coating is shown in the SEM-EDX test results in which the elements of C more than the elements O, sample 1 has an element O at most compared to sample 3 and sample 2. According to the CV test results in the second cycle and the third cycle, the sample 3 has the anodic peak highest compared to samples 1 and 2. sample graphite coated in citric acid at high temperatures better than the capacity. However, at low temperature (500 ºC and 600 ºC), the capacity of the sample is better than pure graphite coated graphite sample citric acid.
