Abstract
ABSTRAK
SMA Negeri 1 Gending adalah salah satu sekolah favorit di Kabupaten Probolinggo yang mana bersifat responsif untuk menerima pembaharuan. Di sekolah tersebut juga menerapkan prinsip reward dan punishment sehingga siswa tidak akan merasa bosan dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Untuk itu dilakukan penelitian sejauh mana implementasi metode reward dan punishment dalam proses pembelajaran.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui macam-macam reward dan
punishment yang dilakukan guru dalam pembelajaran di SMA Negeri 1 Gending serta mengetahui prinsip-prinsip implementasi reward dan punishment dalam proses pembelajaran di SMA Negeri 1 Gending serta rumusan masalah ini adalah apakah macam-macam reward serta punishment itu dan bagaimana prinsip-prinsip implementasi dari reward dan punishment dalam proses pembelajaran.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Metode pengumpulan data dengan metode observasi, metode wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Bentuk-bentuk reward yakni berupa
pujian, penghormatan, hadiah, tanda penghargaan serta bentuk punishment berupa isyarat, perkataan, perbuatan, badan. (2) Prinsip-prinsip implementasi reward yaitu penilaian didasarkan pada perilaku, pemberian hadiah harus ada batasnya, penghargaan berupa perhatian, dimusyawarahkan kesepakatannya, sedangkan prinsip-prinsip punishment
yaitu punishment distandarkan pada perilaku, menghukum tanpa emosi, punishment sudah disepakati, tahapan pemberian hukuman.
ABSTRACT
SMA Negeri 1 Gending is one of the popular schools in Probolinggo which is responsive to receive updates. In such schools also apply the principle of reward and punishment so that students will not feel bored in the teaching and learning activities. To the extent that research method implementation of reward and punishment in the learning process.
The purpose of this study was to determine the kinds of rewards and punishments that teachers do in teaching at SMA Negeri 1 Gending and know the principles of the implementation of reward and punishment in the learning process in SMA Negeri 1 Gending as well as the formulation of this problem is whether the kinds of rewards and punishment was and how the implementation of the principles of reward and punishment in the learning process.
This study uses a qualitative approach with case studies. Methods of data collection by observation, interview and documentation.
The results showed that: (1) the forms of reward in the form of praise, reverence, gift, token of appreciation as well as a form of punishment cues, words, actions, body. (2) Principles of rewards implementations that are based on behavioral assessment, there should be a limit gifts, rewards in the form of attention, discussed the deal, while the principles of standardized punishment is punishment on behavior, punish without emotion, punishment has been agreed, sentencing stage.
