Hubungan dukungan sosial keluarga dengan motivasi melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi siswa kelas XII SMA Dipatiukur Ciparay

ABSTRAK

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dukungan sosial keluarga dengan motivasi melanjutkan pendidikan jenjang perguruan tinggi pada kelas XII di SMA Dipatiukur Ciparay. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini adalah ada hubungan positif antara dukungan sosial keluarga dengan motivasi melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Dipatiukur Ciparay. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas XII SMA Dipatiukur yang terletak di Desa Mekarsari Kecamatan Ciparay Kabupaten Bandung yang berjumlah 98 orang. Variabel dukungan sosial keluarga diukur dengan menggunakan skala Dukungan Sosial Keluarga yang terdiri dari 50 item dan variabel motivasi melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi menggunakan skala College Motivation Scale yang terdiri dari 25 item. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis Product Moment . Koefisien korelasi yang diperoleh sebesar 0,0001 dengan signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (p < 0,05) sehingga didapatkan kesimpulan dari penelitian menunjukan terdapat hubungan yang positif signifikan antara dukungan sosial keluarga dengan motivasi melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family social support and continuing higher education in class XII at SMA Dipatiukur Ciparay. The hypothesis proposed in this study is that there is a positive relationship between family social support and motivation to continue their education to college. This research was conducted at SMA Dipatiukur Ciparay. The subjects in this study were class XII Dipatiukur High School located in Mekarsari Village, Ciparay District, Bandung Regency which accommodated 98 people. The family social support variable was measured using the Family Social support scale consisting of 50 items and the motivation variable for continuing education to college using the College Motivation Scale consisting of 25 items. The data were analyzed using the Product Moment analysis technique. The correlation coefficient obtained is 0.0001 with a significance of 0.000 (p < 0.05) so that the conclusions of the study indicate a significant positive relationship between family social support and motivation to continue their education to college.
