Hubungan durasi penggunaan laptop dengan angka kejadian mata kering pada mahasiswa program studi pendidikan dokter UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang

ABSTRAK:

Berdasarkan survei penggunaan TIK (Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi) sebanyak 22,52% masyarakat menggunakan laptop dan sebanyak 22,32% pengguna laptop yaitu pelajar/mahasiswa dengan 64,82% diantaranya S1. Penggunaan laptop yang secara terus menerus menimbulkan beberapa masalah salah satunya mata kering. Mata kering merupakan salah satu gejala CVS yang paling umum terjadi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan adanya hubungan antara durasi penggunaan laptop dengan angka kejadian mata kering pada mahasiswa program studi pendidikan dokter UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. Metode penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional, Subjek penelitian ini sebanyak 60 responden yang diambil secara purposive sampling. Data penelitian ini dengan menggunakan instrument kuesioner Penggunaan Laptop dan Kuesioner OSDI (Ocular Surface Disease Index), serta dianalisis secara univariat dan bivariat. Hasil uji statistik, didapatkan bahwa nilai signifikansi (p) = 0,000 dan nilai koefisiensi korelasi (r) dengan nilai positif sebesar 0.799. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang kuat antara Durasi penggunaan laptop dengan angka kejadi mata kering pada mahasiswa Pendidikan Dokter UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang.

Based on a survey on the use of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) as many as 22.52% of the people use laptops and as many as 22.32% of laptop users, namely students with 64.82% of them S1. Continuous use of laptops causes several problems, one of which is dry eyes. Dry eye is one of the most common symptoms of CVS. This study aims to prove that there is a relationship between the duration of laptop use and the incidence of dry eye among students of the medical education program at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang.This research method is an observational analytic study with a cross sectional. The subjects of this study were 60 respondents who were taken by purposive sampling. The data in this study were using Questionnaire of Laptop Usage and OSDI Questionnaire (Ocular Surface Disease Index), and analyzed by univariate and bivariate. The results of statistical tests, it was found that the significance value (p) = 0.000 and the correlation coefficient (r) with a positive value of 0.799. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a strong positive relationship between the duration of laptop use and the incidence of dry eye in Medical students at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang.
