Abstract
INDONESIA:
Orang tua bertanggung jawab memenuhi kebutuhan anak guna mengembangkan keseluruhan eksistensi anak, kebutuhan tersebut meliputi kebutuhan biologis maupun kebutuhan psikologis seperti rasa aman, dikasihi, dimengerti sebagai anak, sehingga anak dapat tumbuh dan berkembang kearah harmonis. Tapi banyak sekali orang tua yang dengan sengaja maupun tidak sengaja berperilaku over protective. Akibatnya anak merasa ruang lingkupnya terbatas, merasa terkekang dan tidak boleh mengambil keputusan sendiri, sehingga anak mengalami masalah dalam penyesuaian diri. Berdasarkan uraian tersebut rumusan masalah yang dapat ditarik adalah bagaimana tingkat perilaku over protective parenting, bagaimana tingkat self adaptation remaja, adakah hubungan over protective parenting dengan self adaptation remaja.
Adapun tujuan dari dilaksanakan penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui tingkat perilaku over protective parenting, untuk mengetahui tingkat self adaptation remaja, dan untuk membuktikan adanya hubungan over protective parenting dengan self adaptation remaja.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif korelasional, dengan populasi siswa Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Irfan Nusantara Tangerang tahun ajaran 2021/2022, ukuran sampel 118 siswa. Siswa yang menjadi subjek penelitian adalah semua siswa kelas 1,2 dan 3. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik stratified random sampling. Adapun variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah perilaku over protective parenting dan variabel terikatnya self adaptation. Metode pengambilan data menggunakan skala psikologi.
Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan korelasi product moment, komputasi dengan menggunakan bantuan komputer program statistical program for social sciences (SPSS) versi 23 for windows. Hasil analisis data diperoleh koefisien korelasi antara perilaku over protective parenting dengan Self adaptation sebesar (rxy) -0,451>0,050. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan over protective parenting dalam kategori sedang dan self adaptation dalam kategori rendah. Dari hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan ada hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara perilaku over protective parenting dengan self adaptation remaja, dengan demikian hipotesis yang diajukan terbukti. Dengan demikian maknanya adalah semakin rendah variabel over protective parenting (X) maka semakin rendah variabel self adaptation (Y), begitu juga sebaliknya.

Meaningful work is an individual's capability in determining the concept of goals and values that can provide life encouragement and can have an impact on the environment while working in an organization. Meanwhile, personal engagement is self-expression carried out by individuals in their roles at work related to physical, cognitive, and emotional components. This study aims to examine the relationship between meaningful work and personal engagement in generation Z volunteers.
This study uses a quantitative method with a meaningful work scale adapted from The Work and Meaning Inventory (WAMI) scale (Steger et al.,2012) and is composed of 20 items and a personal engagement scale adapted from the Douglas R. May scale which consists of 27 items. (May et al., 2004). This study involved 200 respondents through an accidental sampling method with a population of Z generation volunteers in Java. Analysis of the data used in this study is Pearson correlation analysis.
The results showed that the meaningful work of generation Z volunteers was dominated by the high category with a percentage of 71.5%. Meanwhile, personal engagement is dominated by the high category with a percentage of 72.5%. The correlation results obtained a significance score of 0.000 (<0.05), which means that there is a significant relationship between meaningful work and personal engagement. The Pearson correlation score shows the number 0.647,which means that the relationship between the two variables is quite strong. So
that means, the higher the level of meaningfulness of one's work, the higher the level of one's engagement to work.
