Abstract
INDONESIA:
Penyembuhan luka adalah proses pergantian dan perbaikan fungsi jaringan yang rusak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat wound dressing yang dikarakterisasi menggunakan uji FTIR, uji tarik, uji ketahanan air, dan uji antibakteri. Hidrogel alginat, polivinil alkohol, dan getah batang pisang dibuat dengan variasi 100:0, 90:10, 80:20, 70:30, 60:40, 50:50 (% v/v). Pembuatan wound dressing dilakukan dengan cara mencampurkan semua bahan dan dicetak, kemudian dikeringkan dalam oven. Hasil dari FTIR pada komposisi 90:10 menunjukkan bahwa adanya interaksi antara getah batang pisang dengan PVA-alginat pada gugus fungsi O-H dan C=O. Secara umum penambahan getah batang pisang meningkatkan nilai modulus young. Nilai modulus young tertinggi pada komposisi 90:10 sebesar 32.69 MPa yang sesuai dengan sifat mekanik pada kulit perut, dahi, dan lengan. Hasil uji ketahanan terhadap air menunjukkan hampir semua sampel larut sempurna dalam aquades. Penambahan getah batang pisang tidak mempengaruhi aktivitas antibakteri.
ENGLISH:
Wound dressing is replacement process and repairing function the damaged tissue. This study is to make a wound dressing that is characterized by using FTIR test, tensile test, water resistance test and antibacterial test. The main ingredients were alginate hydrogel, polyvinyl alcohol, and banana gum variation of 100: 0, 90:10, 80:20, 70:30, 60:40, 50:50 (% v / v). Manufacture of wound dressing was made by mixing all ingredients printed. Furthermore it was mold and dried in an oven. Based on FTIR data the composition PVA-alginat and banana gum of 90:10 indicated interaction between banana gum and PVA-alginate with the O-H and C = O function groups. In addition the Young’s modulus was the highest in amount of 32.69 MPa in accordance with the mechanical properties of the skin of the abdomen, forehead and arms. In general, the addition of banana gum increased the value of Young's modulus. Water resistance test figured out almost all samples completely soluble in distilled water. The addition of banana gum did not affect the antibacterial activity.
