Hubungan antara tingkat kecemasan dengan timbulnya akne vulgaris pada mahasiswa PSPD UIN Malang angkatan 2017-2020

ABSTRAK:

Latar Belakang: Kecemasan merupakan akibat dari stress. Beberapa penelitian menyebutkan bahwa level stress mahasiswa kedokteran lebih tinggi dibanding mahasiswa non-kedokteran. Kecemasan mengakibatkan terjadinya peningkatan produksi sebum oleh kelenjar sebaseus, serta proliferasi dan diferensiasi dari sebosit yang dapat memicu aktivitas Propionibacterium acnes yang merupakan salah satu bakteri penyebab terjadinya akne vulgaris. Peningkatan sekresi hormon androgen terjadi dalam rentang usia 18-20 tahun. Rentang usia ini linier dengan usia puncak terjadinya akne vulgaris yaitu 16-20 tahun. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan tingkat kecemasan dengan timbulnya akne vulgaris pada mahasiswa PSPD UIN Malang angkatan 2017-2020. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Hasil: Nilai uji fisher exact dalam hasil uji chi square dengan p value = 1. Kesimpulan: Tidak terdapat hubungan antara tingkat kecemasan dengan timbulnya akne vulgaris pada mahasiswa PSPD UIN Malang angkatan 2017-2020.

ABSTRACT:

Background: Anxiety is a result of stress. Some research states that the
stress level of medical students is higher than non-medical students. Anxiety causes
an increase in sebum production by the sebaceous glands, as well as the
proliferation and differentiation of sebocytes which can trigger the activity of
Propionibacterium acnes which is one of the bacteria that causes acne vulgaris.
Increased secretion of androgen hormones occurs in the age range of 18-20 years.
This age range is linear with the peak age of acne vulgaris, which is 16-20 years.
Objective: To find out whether there is a relationship between anxiety levels and
the incidence of acne vulgaris in PSPD UIN Malang 2017-2020 degree students.
Methods: This study used an analytical observational method with a cross sectional
approach. Results: The fisher exact test value in the chi square test results with p
value = 1. Conclusion: There is no relationship between the level of anxiety and
the incidence of acne vulgaris in PSPD UIN Malang students in 2017-2020 degree.
