Penerapan metode problem solving dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas X SMA Al-Izzah Batu pada mata pelajaran Sosiologi

ABSTRAK

Penelitian skripsi ini dilakukan di SMA Al-Izzah Putra (ALS) kelas X 1IS 3 Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020. Kondisi kemampuan kognitif dan psikomotrik siswa kelas X IIS 3 Tapel 2019/2020 ini masih tergolong umum dan belum ada yang istimewa. Sehingga perlu menggunakan metode atau cara agar siswa juga bisa mengikuti proses belajar sebagaimana mestinya, tanpa harus kesusahan dalam menyesuaikan dengan materi yang diajarkan. Metode ini adalah suatu cara untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa, agar peneliti bisa mengetahui kemampuan siswa dalam menerima materi dan tanggap terhadap permasalahan-permasalahan sosial yang ada disekitar mereka.

Peneliti menggunakan metode Problem Solving atau pemecahan masalah. Tujuan metode Problem Solving ini untuk mengamati, mengidentifikasi dan memecahkan masalah setelah itu siswa mampu memberikan solusi terhadap masalahmasalah yang terjadi terutama permasalahan yang diangkat pada penelitian skripsi ini yaitu permasalahan antara SAMIN VS SEMEN.

Untuk indikator berpikir kritis, peneliti menfokuskan pada 5 indikator yaitu: 1) Merumuskan pokok-pokok permasalahan, 2) Mengungkapkan fakta yang ada, 3) Argumen Logis, 4) Mendeteksi bias dengan sudut pandang yang berbeda, dan 5), Menarik kesimpulan. Sedangkan untuk hasil belajar peneliti melihat indikatornya dari hasil Tes mengerjakan 20 soal pilihan ganda secara dua kali mengkuti siklus yang ada pada PTK di skripsi ini.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: a) Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa ditunjukkan dari hasil diskusi dan presentase mereka setelah melakukan pengamatan dan identifikasi masalah pada film documenter SAMIN VS SEMEN. Dan b) Hasil belajar Siklus II Pertemuan Pertama diperoleh rata-rata nilai satu kelas adalah 74,8 > 73 (KKM) dari 20 soal pilihan ganda yang diberikan dengan tingkatan soal HOTS. Kemudian Siklus II Pertemuan Kedua rata-rata nilai satu kelas adalah 75,2 > 73 (KKM) dengan jumlah soal yang sama yaitu 20 soal pilihan ganda dengan tingkat soal yang tergolong HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa metode Problem Solving sangat memberikan efek dan pengaruh yang baik dalam peningkatan proses berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa-siswa kelas X IIS 3 SMA AlIzzah Putra tahun pelajaran 2019/2020.

ABSTRACT

This thesis research was conducted at SMA Al-Izzah Putra (ALS) class X 1IS 3 in the 2019/2020 academic year. The condition of cognitive and psychomotric abilities of class X IIS 3 in the 2019/2020 academic year is still relatively general and nothing special yet. So it is necessary to use a method so that students can also follow the learning process as they should, without having to have trouble adjusting the material being taught. This method is a way to improve critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes, so that researchers can find out students' ability to receive material and be responsive to social problems that exist around them.

Researchers used the Problem Solving method. The purpose of this Problem Solving method is to stimulate students' ability to observe existing problems, then they can respond by identifying problems, after that, it is hoped that they can provide the right solution to the problem, especially the problems raised in this thesis are problems of SAMIN VS SEMEN.

For indicators of critical thinking, the researcher focused on 5 indicators, namely: 1) Formulating the main points of the problem, 2) Revealing existing facts, 3) Logical arguments, 4) Detecting biases with different points of view, and 5) Drawing conclusions. As for learning outcomes, the researcher saw the indicators from the test results by working on 20 multiple choice questions twice following the cycle from the PTK in this thesis.

The results showed that: a) Students' Critical Thinking Ability was shown from the results of their discussions and their percentage after observing and identifying problems in the documentary film SAMIN VS SEMEN. And b) The learning outcomes of the First Meeting Cycle II obtained an average grade of 74.8> 73 (KKM) from 20 multiple choice questions given with HOTS level questions. Then in Cycle II the Second Meeting the average value of one class was 75.2> 73 (KKM) with the same number of questions, namely 20 multiple choice questions with the level of questions classified as HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills). This shows that the Problem Solving method has a very good effect and influence in improving the critical thinking process and learning outcomes of class X IIS 3 SMA Al-Izzah Putra for the 2019/2020 academic year.

3( الحجج المنطقية، 4( الكشف عن التحيزات ذات وجهات النظر المختلفة ، و 5( ، استخلاص النتائج. أما بالنسبة لمخرجات التعلم ، فقد شاهد الباحث في هذه الأطروح ةPTK المؤشرات من نتائج الاختبار من خلال العمل على ٢٠ سؤال اختيار من متعدد مرتين بعد الدورة فيSAMIN أظهرت النتائج ما يلي: أ( ظهرت مهارات التفكير النقدي لدى الطلاب من نتائج مناقشاتهم ونسبتهم بعد ملاحظة وتحديد المشاكل في الفيلم الوثائقيمن ٢٠ سؤال اختيار من متعدد مع (KKM) و ب( حصلت نتائج التعلم لدورة الاجتماع الأول الثانية على متوسط درجات 74.8> 73VS SEMEN.
