Abstract
INDONESIA:
Total Quality Management adalah suatu sistem manajemen yang berorientasi untuk meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan secara berkelanjutan melalui eliminasi pemborosan, peningkatkan kualitas, pengembangan keterampilan, dan pengurangan biaya produksi. PT. Istana Cipta Sembada (PT. ICS) berupaya memberikan pelayanan dan kualitas terbaik lewat filosofinya yaitu 3E Excellent product, Excellent people, dan Excellent services sebagai upaya pencapaian kepuasan pelanggan. Maka tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengukur kinerja manajerial di PT. ICS dalam perspektif Total Quality Management.
Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dan menggunakan teknik wawancara, pengamatan dilapangan serta dokumentasi.
Hasil yang diperoleh padapenelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kinerja manajerial di PT. ICS dalam perspektif Total Quality Management yang terdiridari: (a) Fokus pada pelanggan yang ditunjukan bahwa di PT. ICS Manajer HRD dan Produksi mengadakan diskusi langsung dengan pelanggan secara intens dan rutin dalam bentuk kunjungan langsung pelanggan keperusahaan, sehingga didapat informasi mengenai upaya kualitas produk serta inovasi produk baru;(b) Perbaikan proses berkelanjutan di PT. ICS ditunjukan dengan berbagai upaya untuk peningkatan etos kerja karyawan, serta telah didukungnya oleh teknologi yang canggih;(c) Pendidikan dan pelatihan di PT. ICS diadakan secara rutin, dengan mengikut sertakan beberapa level karyawan yang memenuhi syarat dan kompetensi kerja;(d) Pengambilan keputusan dilakukan pada level manajer dan supervisor, dengan mengumpulkan segala masukan, saran dan aspirasi setiap hari dengan mendatangi langsung karyawan saat bekerja.
ENGLISH:
The Total Quality Management is a management system that is oriented to increase customer satisfaction on an ongoing basis through the elimination of waste, improvement of quality, skill development, and production cost reduction. PT. IstanaCiptaSembada (PT. ICS) seeks to provide the best service and quality through its philosophy that 3E Excellent product, Excellent people, and Excellent services as efforts to achieve customer satisfaction. So the purpose of this study was to measure managerial performance in PT. ICS in the perspective of Total Quality Management.
This research are descriptive and qualitative approach using interview techniques, field observation and documentation.
The results obtained in this study indicate that managerial performance in PT. ICS in the perspective of Total Quality Management, which consists of: (a) focus on customers who indicated that in PT. ICS HR and Production Managers hold direct discussions with the customer in the form of intense and regular customers to visit the company directly, in order to get information about measures of product quality and innovation of new products; (b) continuous process improvement in PT. ICS is shown with a variety of efforts to increase employee work ethic, and has been supported by advanced technology; (c) Education and training in the PT. ICS held regularly, by including some level of qualified employees and job competence; (d) Decision making is done at the level of managers and supervisors, by gathering all the input, suggestions and aspirations every day by going direct employees while working.
