Abstract
ENGLISH:
The curriculum included in the boarding school is all the activities that are in the boarding school. The application of the boardingschool system with 24-hour supervision and religious education learning in Islamic boarding schools supports the implication of an educational process that can form the noble character of the students. The objectives of this research are: 1) To determine the curriculum planning of boarding schools based on character education at Al-khoirot boarding school in Pagelaran, Malang. 2) To find out the implementation of the curriculum for Islamic boarding schools based on character education in the Al-khoirot boarding school in Pagelaran, Malang.
This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of descriptive-qualitative research and uses descriptive methods. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation.
The results show that 1) the curriculum of Islamic boarding schools based on character education in Al-Khoirot Islamic boarding schools is planned and arranged based on the objectives of Islamic boarding schools. The objectives are improving faith, educating individuals, forming students into students who have a morality. Planning is carried out by the ranks of caregivers, clerics and boarding school administrators. This planning is carried out at the beginning of the new period of education in every year and at the beginning of each semester. 2) the implementation of the character education boarding school curriculum based on character education at the Al-Khoirot Pagelaran Malang boarding school includes 6 programs. The programs are a) conducting coaching with the boardingschool system with 24-hour supervision; b) habituating to join cottage activities; c) enforcing discipline; d) providing an example; e) religious education; and f) extracurricular activities. However, the character values instilled in Al-Khoirot Islamic boarding school include: (1) religious character; (2) independence; (3) honest, disciplined, (4) social care and (5) simple life.

Kurikulum yang tercakup di dalam pondok pesantren merupakan semua aktivitas yang ada di dalam pondok pesantren. Penerapan sistem Boardingschool dengan pengawasan 24 jam dan pembelajaran madrasah diniyah yang ada di pondok pesantren mendukung terwujudnya proses pendidikan yang dapat membentuk karakter mulia para santri. Adapun tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah: 1) Untuk mengetahui perencanaan Kurikulum pondok pesantren berbasis pendidikan karakter di pondok pesantren Al-khoirot Pagelaran Malang. 2) Untuk mengetahui implementasi kurikulum pondok pesantren berbasis pendidikan karakter di pondok pesantren Al-khoirot Pagelaran Malang.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif-kualitatif dan memakai metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) kurikulum pondok pesantren berbasis pendidikan karakter di pondok pesantren Al-Khoirot direncanakan dan disusun berdasarkan tujuan pondok pesantren yaitu meningkatkan keimanan, mencerdaskan individu, membentuk santri menjadi santri yang berakhlakul karimah. Perencanaan dilakukan oleh jajaran pengasuh, ustadz/ustadzah dan pengurus pondok pesantren. Perencanaan ini dilakukan pada awal tahun ajaran baru dan disetiap awal semester. 2) implementasi kurikulum pondok pesantren berbasis pendidikan karakter di pondok pesantren Al-Khoirot Pagelaran Malang meliputi 6 hal, yaitu a) melakukan pembinaan dengan sistem Boardingschool dengan pengawasan 24 jam; b) pembiasaan mengikuti kegiatan pondok;c) menegakkan kedisiplinan;d) memberikan keteladanan; e) kegiatan madrasah diniyah; dan f) kegiatan ekstrakulikuler. Adapaun nilai-nilai karakter yang ditanamkan di pondok pesantren Al-Khoirot meliputi: (1) karakter religius,; (2) kemandirian; (3) jujur, disiplin, (4) peduli sosial dan (5) hidup sederhana.
