Abstract
ABSTRAK
Pendidikan adalah usaha sadar dan terencana untuk mewujudkan suasana belajar dan proses pembelajaran agar peserta didik secara aktif mengembangkan potensi dirinya untuk memiliki kekuatan spiritual keagamaan, kepribadian, kecerdasan, akhlak mulia, serta ketrampilan yang diperlukan dirinya, masyarakat, bangsa dan Negara. Tetapi, tujuan mulia tersebut sangat bertolak belakang dengan keadaan di lapangan. Inilah degradasi karakter yang sedang berlangsung di tanah air Indonesia. Pembentukan karakter religius dapat dilakukan dengan berbagai cara, salah satunya melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler di sekolah.
Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) Mengetahui strategi guru PAI dalam pembentukan karakter religius dan mandiri melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler keagamaan. (2) Mengetahui pelaksanaan kegiatan ektrakurikuler keagamaan di MAN 4 Madiun sebagai strategi pembentukan karakter religius dan mandiri kepada peserta didik. (3) Mengetahui kendala dalam melaksanakan strategi pembentukan karakter religius dan mandiri pada peserta didik.
Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan melaksanakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Serta untuk mengecek keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber data dan metode.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Strategi guru PAI dalam pembentukan karakter religius dan mandiri melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler di MAN 4 Madiun yaitu dengan pembiasaan, keteladanan dan suasana yang berkarakter. (2) Pelaksanaan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler keagamaan sebagai strategi pembentukan karakter religius dan mandiri di MAN 4 Madiun. (3) Kendala dalam Melaksanakan Strategi Pembentukan Karakter Religius Dan Mandiri Pada Peserta Didik Melalui Kegiatan Ekstrakurikuler Keagamaan yaitu jarak, bentrok jadwal, dan kurangnya suplemen ketika kegiatan ekstrakurikuler berlangsung. Namun guru tidak putus asa untuk memberikan motivasi kepada peserta didik agar tertarik dengan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler keagamaan.
ABSTRACT
True education aims to make students able to actively develop their potential to have spiritual spiritual strength, personality, intelligence, noble character, and skills needed by himself, society, nation and country. However, the noble goal is very contrary to the situation on the ground. This is the character degradation that is taking place in Indonesia. The formation of religious character can be done in various ways, one of them through extracurricular activities in schools.
The objectives of this study are: (1) Knowing the strategy of Islamic religious education teachers in formationing religious and independent character education through religious extracurricular activities. (2) Knowing the implementation of religious extracurricular activities in MAN 4 Madiun as an formationing to instill religious and independent character education for students. (3) Knowing the obstacles in carrying out strategy to instill religious and independent character in students.
In this research uses descriptive qualitative research type. Data collection techniques carried out by carrying out observations, interviews, and documentation. And to check the validity of the data using data triangulation.
The results showed that: (1) Strategy of Islamic religious education teachers in formationing religious and independent character through extracurricular activities in MAN 4 Madiun, namely by habituation, example and character atmosphere. (2) The implementation of religious extracurricular activities as strategy to formationing produces religious and independent character MAN 4 Madiun. (3) Obstacles implementation strategy to Cultivate Religious and Independent Character Education for Students through Religious Extracurricular Activities namely distance, schedule conflicts, and lack of supplements when extracurricular activities take place. But the teacher is not desperate to motivate students to be interested in religious extracurricular activities.
