Abstract

INDONESIA:

Integrasi kurikulum adalah menghilangkan batas-batas yang ada diantara mata pelajaran kemudian dalam penyampaiannya secara keseluruhan dan dipusatkan pada suatu masalah atau topik tertentu. Dalam penyampaian materi pembelajaran diselipkan penanaman karakter yang ada didalam kurikulum 2013 dan kurikulum cambridge.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk: (1) untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan integrasi kurikulum 2013 dengan kurikulum cambridge dalam penanaman karakter di SD Little Island Malang (2) untuk mengetahui peran integrasi kurikulum 2013 dengan kurikulum cambridge untuk menanamkan karakter di SD Little Island Malang.

Untuk mencapai tujuan diatas, digunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif yang dilaksanakan selama tiga bulan. Instrumen kunci adalah waka kurikulum, kepala sekolah, guru CSI, dan siswa kelas V. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan cara mereduksi data yang tidak relevan, memaparkan data dan menarik kesimpulan.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, (1) dalam pelaksanaan penanaman karakter kedua kurikulum tersebut tidak sepenuhnya terintegrasi. Kurikulum cambrige mempunyai “global Perspective” yang menanamkan pembelajaran budaya dunia melalui proses pembelajaran yang tergantung guru dalam penyampaiannya. Sedangkan kurikulum 2013 mempunyai PPK (religi, mandiri, gotong royong, integritas, nasionalis) yang ditanamkan pada proses pembelajaran dan pada program-program yang ada, nilai PPK digabungkan dengan nilai-nilai yang ada di CSI. (2) peran dari integrasi kurikulum 2013 dengan kurikulum cambridge dalam penanaman karakter yakni kurikulum cambridge hanya berperan sedikit dalam penanaman karakter karena kurikulum cambridge hanya memiliki “global prespective” yang secara umum, tidak mendetail tentang nilai karakter suatu budaya tertentu. Kurikulum 2013 memiliki peran yang sangat penting dikarenakan kurikulum 2013 mempunyai PPK (Pendidikan Penguatan Karakter) sebagai pedoman dalam menanamankan nilai-nilai karakter yang sesuai dengan budaya Indonesia. Ditambah lagi dengan adanya CSI department yang dimiliki SD My Little Island, juga memilki peran penting dalam penanaman karakter siswa-siswi di sekolah tersebut.

Curriculum integration eliminates all the boundaries built among subjects which conveys the materials as a whole and it is centralized on certain matter or topic. Character building education, which is included in 2013 curriculum and Cambridge curriculum, is also delivered during the learning activity.

This study aims to: (1) to find out the implementation of the integration of 2013 curriculum and Cambridge curriculum in conducting character building education in Little Island Elementary School Malang. (2) to find out the integration of 2013 curriculum and Cambridge curriculum in embedding character education in Little Island Elementary School Malang.

To achieve those objectives, descriptive-qualitative approach is implemented for three months. The key instruments are the deputy head of curriculum, the school principal, CSI teacher and fifth grade students. The data collection techniques are interview, observation and documentation. The data are analyzed by reducing the irrelevant data, presenting the data and making conclusion.

The results of the study indicate that (1) the character building implementation in the two curriculums are not fully integrated. Cambridge curriculum has “global perspective” that embeds world culture learning through a learning process that depends on the teachers when conveying the materials. Meanwhile, 2013 curriculum has PPK (religion, independent, cooperation, integrity and nationalist) which is imprinted during the implementation of learning process and other existing programs. The PPK values are integrated with the values created and applied by CSI. (2) The integration of 2013 curriculum and Cambridge curriculum for character building, particularly Cambridge curriculum, only has a small role since Cambridge curriculum only has “global perspective” in general. It does not explicate the character values of certain culture in detail. 2013 curriculum has a crucial role since 2013 curriculum possess PPK (Character Empowerment Education) as the guideline in embedding the character values according to Indonesian culture. In addition, CSI department in My Little Island Elementary School also plays a crucial role in embedding the character education for the students.
