Abstract
INDONESIA:
Fast food and fatty foods are now the choice of consumption almost every day. The habit of consuming these foods can lead to dyslipidemia which is at risk of cardiovascular disease. Dyslipidemia is a disorder of the state of lipid levels in the blood circulation. Prevention of dyslipidemia can use herbal remedies such as cinnamon (Cinnamomum burmannii) and dayak bulbs (Eleutherine bulbosa). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of a combination of 96% ethanol extract of cinnamon (Cinnamomum burmannii) and dayak bulbs (Eleutherine bulbosa) on LDL and HDL levels of dyslipidemic mice. The treatment was carried out in vivo. This type of experimental laboratory research uses a completely randomized design (CRD) of 8 treatments with 4 replications. The treatment groupings include: N (Normal), K- (HFD), K + (HFD + Anacetrapib), P1 (HFD + 100% C. burmannii), P2 (HFD + 75% C. burmannii 25% E. bulbosa), P3 (HFD + 50% C. burmannii 50% E. bulbosa), P4 (HFD + 75% C. burmannii 25% E. bulbosa), and P5 (HFD + 100% E. bulbosa). HFD induction was given for 120 days and therapy was given on days 91 to 120. Analysis of LDL data used ANOVA with α 0.05 while HDL data used non-parametric Kruskall-Wallis test and Games-Howell with α 0.05. The results showed that the administration of 96% Cinnamomum burmannii and Eleutherine bulbosa ethanol extract was able to reduce LDL levels in dyslipidemic mice. The combination of 96% ethanol extract Cinnamomum burmannii and Eleutherine bulbosa 5.25 mg / grBB was effective in increasing HDL levels in dyslipidemic mice.

Perlakuan dilakukan secara in vivo. Pengelompokan perlakuan meliputi: N (Normal), K- (HFD), K+ (HFD+Anacetrapib), P1 (HFD+100% C. burmannii), P2 (HFD+75% C. burmannii 25% E. bulbosa), P3 (HFD+50% C. burmannii 50% E. bulbosa), P4 (HFD+75% C. burmannii 25% E. bulbosa), dan P5 (HFD+100% E. bulbosa).
