Abstract
INDONESIA:
Aspirin merupakan salah satu obat anti inflamasi non steroid (OAINS) yang dapat menyebabkan kerusakan pada mukosa lambung dengan menghambat kerja enzim COX-1. Terhambatnya enzim COX-1 mengakibatkan terganggunya biosintesis prostaglandin yang berfungsi sebagai faktor defensif untuk melindungi mukosa lambung dari faktor agresif. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak daun alpukat (Persea americana Mill. ) terhadap volume getah lambung, keasaman (pH) getah lambung, dan histopatologi lambung mencit (Mus musculus Linn.) yang diinduksi aspirin. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimental menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 6 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Hewan coba dibagi menjadi 6 kelompok, pada setiap kelompok diinduksi dengan aspirin 5mg/25grBB mencit satu kali sehari selama 3 hari. Kelompok N tidak diberi perlakuan, kelompok K- diinduksi aspirin tanpa pemberian ekstrak, kelompok K+ diberi misoprostol, kelompok P1 diberi ekstrak daun alpukat dosis 2,5mg/25grBB mencit, P2 dosis 5mg/25grBB mencit, dan P3 dosis 7,5mg/25grBB mencit. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan ANOVA dan diuji lanjut dengan Duncan. Hasil analisis ANOVA menunjukkan bahwa ektrak daun alpukat tidak berpengaruh terhadap histopatologi lambung mencit dan tidak berpengaruh terhadap keasaman (pH) getah lambung mencit. Sedangkan hasil uji Kruskal-Wallis menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak daun alpukat berpengaruh terhadap volume getah lambung mencit.
ENGLISH:
Aspirin is one of the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) that can cause damage to the gastric mucosa by inhibiting the action of the COX-1 enzyme. Inhibition of the COX-1 enzyme results in disruption of prostaglandin biosynthesis which serves as a defensive factor to protect the gastric mucosa from aggressive factors. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of Avocado (Persea americana Mill.) Leaf Extract on gastric juice volume, acidity (pH) of gastric juice, and gastric histopathology of mice (Mus musculus Linn.) induced by aspirin. This type of research is experimental using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 6 treatments and 4 replications. Experimental animals were divided into 6 groups, in each group induced by aspirin 5 mg/25grBB of mice once a day for 3 days. Group N was not treated, group K- induced aspirin without administration of extract, group K+ was given misoprostol, group P1 was given avocado leaf extract at a dose of 2,5mg/25grBB of mice, P2 dose of 5mg/25grBB of mice, and P3 dose of 7,5mg/25grBB of mice. The data obtained were analyzed by ANOVA and further tested by Duncan. ANOVA analysis results showed that avocado leaf extracts did not affect the histopathology of the stomach of mice and did not affect the acidity (pH) of the gastric juice of mice. While the results of the Kruskal-Wallis test showed that avocado leaf extracts affect the volume of mice’s gastric juice.
