Abstract

INDONESIA:

Pengembangan LKS berbasis Problem Based Learning pada Tema Peduli Terhadap Makhluk Hidup Subtema Hewan dan Tumbuhan di Lingkungan Sekitarku dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa kelas IV dalam pembelajaran. Pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa yaitu belajar berdasarkan masalah yang ada dalam kehidupan sehari-hari siswa.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) mendeskripsikan validitas LKS berbasis Problem Based Learning yang dikembangkan, (2) mendeskripsikan peningkatan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa antara sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan LKS berbasis Problem Based Learning, (3) mendeskripsikan respon siswa terhadap LKS berbasis Problem Based Learning yang dikembangkan.

Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D), dengan model pengembangan Borg and Gall yang dimodifikasi oleh Nana Sukmadinata dkk. Subyek penilaian produk divalidasi oleh 2 validator, sasaran uji coba produk yaitu kelas IV dengan uji coba pertama 15 siswa dan uji coba kedua 26 siswa.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengembangan LKS berbasis Problem Based Learning valid digunakan karena mempunyai nilai kevalidan rata-rata RPP dan LKS mencapai 3,5 dengan percentage of agreement sebesar 86%. Keefektifan pembelajaran mengetahui meningkatnya keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa dengan menggunakan pre-test dan post-test. Hasil uji coba 1 pertemuan 1 rata-rata skor pre-test 5,2, setelah proses pembelajaran skor post-test 8,3. Uji coba 1 pertemuan 2 skor pre-test 5,8, setelah proses pembelajaran skor post-test 8,5 dengan rata-rata skor N-Gain 0,6 berada pada kategori sedang. Hasil uji coba 2 pertemuan 1 rata-rata skor pre-test 4,6, setelah proses pembelajaran skor post-test 8,7. Uji coba 2 pertemuan 2 skor pre-test 5,0, setelah proses pembelajaran skor post-test 8,7 dengan rata-rata skor N-Gain 0,75 berada pada kategori tinggi. Respon siswa menunjukkan >90% positif terhadap LKS berbasis problem based learning yang telah dikembangkan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah diperoleh membuktikan bahwa LKS berbasis problem based learning yang telah dikembangkan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPA untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa kelas IV.

The Development of Students Worksheets (LKS) Based on Problem Based Learning on the theme of Caring About Living Things: Animals and Plants Subthemes in the Environment Around Me was developed to improve the higher order thinking skill of class IV students in learning process. Learning based on problems that exist in students' daily activities can improve their higher-order thinking skill.

This research aims to (1) describe the validity of the development of students’ worksheet based on Problem Based Learning, (2) describe the improvement of students' higher order thinking skill compared before and after using students’ worksheet based on Problem Based Learning, (3) describe the students' responses to the development of students’ worksheet based on Problem Based Learning.

The research method used Research and Development (R&D), with the Borg and Gall development model modified by Nana Sukmadinata et al. The product evaluation subject was validated by 2 validators. The sample of this research was students in class IV with the first trial of 15 students and the second trial of 26 students.

The result show that the development of students’ worksheet (LKS) based on Problem Based Learning is valid because it has an average value of Lesson plan (RPP) and LKS of 3.5 with a percentage of agreement of 86%. The effectiveness of learning can determine the increasing level of higher order thinking skill of students by using pre-test and post-test. The trial results of 1 meeting have pre-test average score of 5.2, after the learning process of post-test , they get average score of 8.3. Trial 1 meeting 2 has pre-test score 5.8, after the learning process the post-test score is 8.5 with an average N-Gain score of 0.6. It is the medium category. The results of the trial 2 meetings 1 get the average pre-test score of 4.6, after the learning process, the post-test score is 8.7. Trial 2 meeting 2 get the pre-test score 5.0, after the learning process, their post-test score is 8.7 with an average N-Gain score of 0.75. it is in the high category. Student responses show > 90% positive towards the development of students’ worksheet based on problem based learning. Based on the result, LKS that has deen developed based on problem based learning is feasible to be used in learning to improve the higher order thinking skill of students in class IV.
