Abstract
INDONESIA:
Ekstrak umbi bawang sabrang (Eleutherine palmifolia (L.) Merr) digunakan sebagai obat anti kanker kolon, dengan senyawa naphtoquinones. Naphtoquinon memiliki kelarutan dalam air yang rendah, sehingga perlu diformulasikan menjadi sediaan SNEDDS untuk memperbaiki kelarutan agar meningkatkan bioavailabilitas di dalam tubuh. Pembuatan sediaan Self-Nanoemulsifying Drug Delivery Systems (SNEDDS) ekstrak umbi bawang sabrang (Eleutherine palmifolia (L.) Merr) menggunakan variasi fase minyak zaitun, VCO, dan asam oleat dengan surfaktan tween80 dan kosurfaktan PEG400 dengan menggunakan metode solid dispersi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi fase minyak terhadap sediaan SNEDDS berdasarkan organoleptik, ukuran partikel, transmitan, tipe nanoemulsi, pH, dan waktu emulsifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SNEDDS ekstrak umbi bawang sabrang (Eleutherine palmifolia (L.) Merr) dengan variasi fase minyak zaitun, VCO, asam pada uji organoleptik yaitu berwarna merah tua, bening jernih, tidak berbau, tidak terdapat pemisahan dan homogen dengan tipe nanoemulsi minyak dalam air. Memiliki ukuran partikel rata-rata pada media AGF sebesar 61,10nm; 774,33nm; 211,70nm pada media AIF sebesar 211,70nm; 123,65nm; 830,22nm, sedangkan transmitan sebesar 87,65%; 92,91%; 56,51%, pH sebesar 6,8 dan waktu emulsifikasi media akuades sebesar 23,12; 22,19; 43,97, media AGF sebesar 24,10 detik; 22,53 detik; 25,75 detik, media AIF sebesar 20,96 detik; 19,62 detik; 23,74 detik.

Sabrang onion bulb extract (Eleutherine palmifolia (L.) Merr) is used as anti-colon cancer medicine, with the compound naphthoquinones. Naphthoquinone has a low water solubility so that it needs to be formulated into SNEDDS preparations to improve solubility in order to increase bioavailability in the body. The making of preparations Self-Nanoemulsifying Drug Delivery Systems (SNEDDS) sabrang onion bulb extract (Eleutherine palmifolia (L.) Merr) uses phase variations of olive oil, VCO, and oleic acid with tween80 surfactants and PEG400 cosurfactants using the solid dispersion method. The objective of this study was to describe the oil phase variation on SNEDDS preparations and the characteristics of SNEDDS preparations. SNEDDS sabrang onion bulb extract (Eleutherine palmifolia (L.) Merr). Some of the evaluation of the preparation carried out were organoleptic tests, particle size tests, transmittance tests, nanoemulsion type tests, pH tests, and emulsification time tests. The results of this research show that SNEDDS sabrang onion bulb extract (Eleutherine palmifolia (L.) Merr) with variations in the phase of olive oil, VCO, acids in the organoleptic test that is dark red, clear, odorless, no separation, and homogeneous with the type of oil nanoemulsion in water. It has an average particle size in the AGF medium as much as 61.10nm; 774,33nm; 211,70nm in the AIF medium is 211,70nm; 123,65nm; 830,22nm, while transmittance is 87,65%; 92,91%; 56,51%, pH of 6,8 and emulsification time of distilled water medium is 23,12; 22,19; 43,97, the AGF medium is 24,10 seconds; 22,53 seconds; 25,75 seconds, AIF medium as much as 20,96 seconds; 19,62 seconds; 23,74 seconds.
