Abstract
INDONESIA:
Di era globlalisasi kesadaran untuk menjaga lingkungan semakin menurun. Hal ini dikarenakan oleh sikap manusia yang kurang bijak dalam memanfaatkan lingkungan. Untuk menjaga lingkungan melalui jalur pendidikan, ditanamkan pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan dalam Program Adiwiyata.
Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk: (1) Mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan Program Adiwiyata dalam membentuk karakter peduli lingkungan di SMK Negeri 1 Turen, (2) Mendeskripsikan peran Program Adiwiyata dalam membentuk karakter peduli lingkungan di SMK Negeri 1 Turen, (3) Mendeskripsikan kendala dan solusi dalam proses membentuk karakter peduli lingkungan di SMK Negeri 1 Turen.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan, reduksi data, penyajian data dan menarik kesimpulan.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, (1) Pelaksanaan Program Adiwiyata, dilaksanakan dengan dua pendekatan. Pertama pendekatan ekstrakurikuler atau pendekatan diluar kelas, dengan membentuk pengurus Adiwiyata, kelompok kerja (pokja) dan program kerja. Kedua pendekatan kurikuler atau pendekatan dalam pembelajaran di kelas, dimana pendidikan lingkungan hidup diintegrasikan dalam semua mata pelajaran. (2) Manfaat Program Adiwiyata, pertama manfaat edukatif yakni penanaman sikap peduli lingkungan. Kedua manfaat sosial yakni siswa dapat berlaku peduli terhadap sesama siswa, guru, masyarakat maupun lingkungan. Ketiga manfaat ekonomis yakni sekolah mendapatkan keuntungan dari penjualan pupuk kompos dan bank sampah. Keempat manfaat estetika yakni lingkungan sekolah menjadi bersih, terjaga, rindang, nyaman serta mendukung kegiatan pembelajaran. (3) Kendala dan solusi dalam menumbuhkan karakter peduli lingkungan, pertama minimnya anggaran dana untuk kegiatan berbasis lingkungan. Kedua sarana dan prasarana yang belum mendukung seperti belum adanya pemeriksaan makanan sekolah, serta belum adanya ahli kesehatan yang bertugas di UKS sekolah. Ketiga kendala partisipasi yakni kendala dari siswa yang lingkungan tempat tinggalnya kurang mendukung penanaman karakter peduli lingkungan. Solusinya adalah dengan menambah anggaran dana untuk kegiatan kepedulian lingkungan, mendatangkan ahli terkait pemeriksaan makanan dan pengolahan UKS, serta mengadakan sosialisasi tentang kepedulian lingkungan untuk seluruh warga SMK Negeri 1 Turen.
ENGLISH:
In an era of globalization, awareness to protect the environment has declined. This is caused by human attitude which is not wise in utilizing the environment. To protect the environment through education, the education of the character of environmental care is embedded in the Adiwiyata Program.
The research objectives are: (1) Describe the implementation of the Adiwiyata Program in shaping the character of caring for the environment at Public Vocational High School 1 Turen. (2) Describe the role of the Adiwiyata Program in shaping the character of caring for the environment at Public Vocational High School 1 Turen., (3) Describe the obstacles and solutions in the process of forming the Public Vocational High School 1 Turen.
The present study use a qualitative design, the data collection techniques used are interview, observation, and documentation. While data analysis techniques use, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions.
The results of present study showed that, (1) Implementation of the Adiwiyata Program was carried out with two approaches. The first is the extracurricular approach or outside the classroom approach, by forming Adiwiyata management, working groups (working groups) and work programs. Both curricular approaches or approaches to learning in the classroom, where environmental education is integrated in all subjects. (2) The benefit of the Adiwiyata Program, first is the educational benefit which is planting an attitude of caring for the environment. The second social benefit is that students can apply care for fellow students, teachers, the community, and the environment. The third economic benefit is the school benefits from the sale of compost and waste banks. Next is aesthetic benefits namely the school environment to be clean, awake, shady, comfortable and support learning activities. (3) Obstacles and solutions in growing the character of caring for the environment, firstly the lack of budget funds for environment-based activities. Both facilities and infrastructure that does not yet support, such as the absence of school food checks, and the absence of health experts on duty at school UKS. Thirdly, the constraints to participation are obstacles from students whose neighborhoods do not support inculcation of environmental character. The solution is to increase the funding budget for environmental awareness activities, bring in experts related to food inspection and processing of UKS, as well as conduct environmental awareness raising for all citizens of Turen.
