Abstract
INDONESIA:
Model Problem Based Learning merupakan model pembelajaran yang menekankan pada pemecahan masalah berdasarkan pengalaman siswa di dunia nyata. Melalui model Problem Based Learning, siswa belajar dan bekerjasama dalam kelompok untuk memecahkan dan mencari solusi atas masalah yang dihadapi. Pengalaman siswa yang diperoleh dari lingkungan akan dijadikan bahan dan materi dalam memecahkan masalah.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk: (1) mengetahui pengaruh model Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas VIII MTs Negeri 7 Malang (2) mengetahui pengaruh model Problem Based Learning terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas VIII MTs Negeri 7 Malang.
Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) dengan desain pretest-posttest control group. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII MTs Negeri 7 Malang, untuk kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen masing-masing terdiri dari 30 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah hasil pretest dan posttest. Analisis data menggunakan uji hipotesis Independent Sample T-test dengan uji prasyarat berupa uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara model problem based learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas VIII MTs Negeri 7 Malang dengan nilai rata-rata gain score kelas eksperimen 54,9 lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol 35,1 (2) terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara model problem based learning terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas VIII MTs Negeri 7 Malang dengan nilai rata-rata gain score kelas eksperimen 55,3 lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol 36,8. Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian, bagi peneliti selanjutnya disarankan untuk menambah alokasi waktu pada setiap tahapan model problem based learning.

Problem-based Learning Model is a learning model that emphasizes problem solving based on the student experience in the real world. Through the Problem-based Learning model, students learn and work together in groups to solve and find solutions to the problems they face. Student experience that gained from the environment will be used as the material in solving problems.
The purpose of this study was to: (1) determine the effect of the Problem-based Learning model on the critical thinking abilities of students of class VIII of MTs Negeri 7 Malang (2) determine the effect of the Problem-based Learning model on learning social sciences outcomes of students of class VIII of MTs Negeri 7 Malang.
This research method uses quasi-experimental research with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research subjects were students of class VIII MTs Negeri 7 Malang, for the control class and experimental class each consisting of 30 students. Data collection techniques used are the results of the pretest and posttest. Data analysis uses the test of the Independent Sample T-test Hypothesis with the prerequisite test in the form of normality and homogeneity tests.
The results showed that: (1) there is a significant influence between the problem-based learning model on the critical thinking skills of students of class VIII MTs 7 Malang with an average gain score of the experimental class 54.9 higher than the control class 35.1 (2) there is a significant influence between problem-based learning model on learning social sciences outcomes of students of class VIII MTs Negeri 7 Malang with an average gain score of the experimental class 55.3 higher than the control class 36.8. Based on the results of the study, further researchers are advised to add time allocation at each stage of the problem based learning model.
