Pengaruh metode group investigation dan keaktifan terhadap hasil belajar siswa IPS kelas VIII materi perubahan masyarakat Indonesia pada masa penjajahan di MTsN 2 Kediri

Group investigation merupakan metode pembelajaran yang memberikan kesempatan kepada semua siswa untuk bekerja sama dengan siswa yang lain untuk menyelesaikan tugas terstruktur. Pembelajaran ini dilakukan secara berkelompok yang terdiri dari 3-5 siswa. Keaktifan belajar merupakan kegiatan siswa untuk mengonstruksi pengetahuan mereka sendiri dengan cara siswa aktif membangun pemahaman mereka sendiri mengenai persoalan yang sedang terjadi saat pembelajaran berlangsung.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran Group Investigation, mengetahui keaktifan belajar siswa, dan pengaruh model pembelajaran Group Investigation dan keaktifan belajar terhadap hasil belajar IPS kelas VIII materi Perubahan Masyarakat Indonesia Pada Masa Penjajahan.

Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, peneliti menggunakan metode pendekatan kuantitatif. Jumlah populasi penelitian ini sebanyak 70 siswa dengan rincian 35 siswa di kelas control dan 35 di kelas eksperimen. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier sederhana dan koefisien determinasi.

Hasil dari penelitian yang dilakukan oleh peneliti adalah sebagai berikut : pada angket yang disebar kepada 70 siswa, didapatkan hasil 81,5 yang artinya keaktifan belajar baik untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar. Hasil belajar siswa kelas control didapat nilai sebesar 48,5% yang termasuk dalam kategori buruk sedangkan hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen yaitu sebesar 42,85% yang termasuk dalam kategori cukup baik. Untuk hasil R square atau uji determinasi diperoleh hasil untuk keaktifan terhadap hasil belajar sebesar 61,2%, metode pembelajaran Group Investigation terhadap hasil belajar sebesar 82,8%, dan metode Group Investigation dan keaktifan terhadap hasil belajar yaitu sebesar 82,8% dan sisanya 17,2% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak masuk dalam penelitian ini.

Group investigation is a learning method which gives the opportunity to the students to cooperate with others to finish the structural assignment. This learning is carried out in groups, which have 3-5 students for every group. The students’ liveliness in learning is a students’ activity to construct their knowledge by being active in building their understanding about some cases which are held in learning process.

This research aims to know the application of group investigation learning model, to know the students’ liveliness in learning, and the influence of group investigation method and students’ liveliness toward learning outcomes of social science education student class viii on the subject of changes in Indonesian society during the colonial period.

To reach the aims, the researcher uses the method of quantitative. The number of population is 70 students, with details 35 students in control class and 35 in experiment class. However, the analysis method used is simple linier regression analysis and coefficient of determination.

The results of the research which is carried by the researcher is: based on the questionnaires which are given to 70 students, the number of liveliness is 81, 5, which means that their liveliness is good to improve learning outcomes. However, the learning outcomes of the students in control class is 48,5%, which is categorized as bad. Then, the learning outcome of the students in experiment class is 42, 85%, which is categorized as good enough. Furthermore, the result of R square or test of determination shows the liveliness toward the learning outcome about 61,2%, Group Investigation learning model toward learning outcome is 82,8%, and Group Investigation and students’ liveliness toward the learning outcome is 82,8% and 17,2% is influenced by the other variables which are not suitable to this research.
