Abstract
INDONESIA:
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan gambaran dan faktor yang mempengaruhi place attachment pada internally displaced persons (IDPs) terdampak bencana lumpur Lapindo.
Penelitan ini menggunakan metode kualitatif studi naratif. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode wawancara semi terstruktur. Wawancara pada penelitian ini dilakukan kepada tiga IDPs terdampak bencana lumpur Lapindo.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa IDPs terdampak bencana lumpur Lapindo memiliki pengalaman hidup yang bermakna dan realisasi akan keterikatannya dengan tempat lamanya. Selain itu IDPs memiliki rasa cinta dan bahagia selama berada di tempat lama. Setelah bencana terjadi, perasaan sedih, kehilangan dan rindu akan tempat lama dirasakan oleh para IDPs. Mereka juga memiliki ingatan dan gambaran tentang tempat lamanya masing-masing. Serta menunjukkan perilaku yang berusaha mendekat kembali ke tempat lama, merawat kedekatan dengan komunitas dan merekonstruksi tempat baru seperti tempat lamanya. Para IDPs juga memiliki tempat-tempat penting, baik secara fisik maupun sosial, seperti tempat yang mendukung profesinya dan komunitas yang berada di dalamnya. Adapun faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi place attachment pada IDPs terdampak bencana lumpur Lapindo adalah waktu yang dihabiskan untuk tinggal, kepemilikan akan tempat tinggal atau bekerja, interaksi sosial yang terjalin positif, dan modal sosial yang dimiliki.
ENGLISH:
This study aims to explain the description and factors that influence place attachment on Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) that affected by Lapindo mud flow disaster in Sidoarjo.
This research uses a qualitative method of narrative research. The data collection technique in this study was using a semi-structured interview method. Interviews for this study were conducted with three IDPs that affected by the Lapindo mud flow disaster.
The results of the study show that IDPs affected by the Lapindo mud flow disaster have meaningful life experiences and realized their attachment to their former place. In addition, IDPs have a sense of love and happiness while in their former place. After the disaster occurs, feelings of sadness, loss and longing felt by IDPs for a long time. They also have memories and images of their respective former places. As well as showing behavior that shown their effort to return to their former place as close as possible, maintain their closeness with the community that also comes from their former place and reconstructing their new house as closely as possible like their former house. IDPs also have important places, both physically and socially, such as places that support their profession and the communities within them. Factors that influence place attachment in IDPs that affected by the Lapindo mud disaster are the time they spent to stay, the ownership of the place they live or work, positive intertwined of their social interactions, and social capital that they owned.
