Abstract
INDONESIA:
Dewasa ini, perkembangan trend fashion sangatlah pesat. Ketika fashion telah menjadi gaya hidup seseorang, secara tidak langsung orang tersebut akan mencari informasi tentang fashion dan terlibat dalam perkembangannya. Keterlibatan (Involvement) seseorang terhadap fashion dapat dilihat dari seberapa besar tingkat ketertarikan konsumen terhadap produk-produk fashion dalam mengikuti trend yang ada. Ketika seseorang terlibat dalam fashion , ia akan menggunakan setiap produk fashion mulai dari berdasarkan kebutuhan maupun keinginannya untuk tampil menarik dilingkungan sosialnya. Dalam hal ini kontrol diri terlihat dari sejauh mana perilaku individu dalam penggunaan fashion dikehidupan sehari-harinya. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana tingkat self control, fashion involvement serta pengaruh self control terhadap fashion involvement mahasiswi Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang angkatan 2015.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat self control, fashion involvement, serta pengaruh self control terhadap fashion involvement Mahasiswi Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang angkatan 2015.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jumlah subjek 148 yang didapat menggunakan teknik sampling probability dengan sampel mahasiswi Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang angkatan 2015. Pengambilan data menggunakan 2 skala, yaitu skala self control dan skala fashion involvement. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data deskriptif dan regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh self control terhadap fashion involvement.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat self control berada pada katergori sedang dengan presentase 78,38% dan fashion involvement berada pada kategori sedang dengan presentase 76,35%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis regresi linier sederhana, diperoleh nilai F hitung sebesar 49,634 dengan signifikasi 0,000 atau p < 0,05. Selain itu diperoleh nilai R Square sebesar 0,254 , hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa 25,4% fashion involvement dipengaruhi oleh self control, dan sisanya 74,6 dipengaruhi faktor lain yang belum terungkap dalam penelitian ini.

Nowdays, fashion trends development is very rapid. Whenfashion has become a person’s lifestyle, she indirectly will looking for information aboutfashion andget involved in its development. Person’s Involvement towardsfashioncan be seen fromextent level of consumer interesttowardsfashionproducts an existing trend following.Whena person gets involved in fashion ,she will use every fashion products based ofher needs or desires to appears more attractive in her social environment. In this case,Self controls visible from the extent of individual behavior in the use of late fashion of her daily life. The main problemof this research isto know how the level of Self control, Fashion involvement and the influence of the Self control towards fashion involvement on female college students in Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University Malang batch 2015.
The main purpose of this research is to know the level of Self control, Fashion involvement and the influence of the Self control towards fashion involvement on female college students Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic university Malang batch 2015.
This research uses quantitative approach, with total number of 148 subjectsobtained by using the sampling probability,from the sample of female college students in Maulana Malik Ibrahim State University Malang batch 2015. Data Retrieval uses 2 scale, those are self control scale and fashion involvement scale. Data analytical of this research uses descriptive data analysis and simple linear regression. The results of the research indicate the influence of self control toward fashion involvement.
The results of the research indicate level of self controlin the medium category with a percentage of 78,38% andfashion involvementin the medium category with a percentage76,35%. Based on the result ofsimple linear regression analysis, obtained F count value of 49,634with significance of 0,000 or p < 0,05. Besides that, the R Square value is 0.254, That indicate 25,4% offashion involvement influencedbyself control, and the rest of 74,6 % influenced by other factors that have not been revealed in this research.
