Analisis penerapan prinsip-prinsip good corporate governance (GCG) dalam meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan asuransi: Studi kasus pada PT. BRINS General Insurance

Dewasa ini, penerapan prinsip Good Corporate Governance (GCG) di Indonesia muncul sejak terjadinya krisis ekonomi tahun 1997. Dimana Indonesia mengalami kejatuhan ekonomi dan butuh waktu yang lama untuk dapat bangkit. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah karena pertumbuhan yang dicapai Indonesia tidak dibangun di atas landasan yang kokoh. Oleh karena itu, Pemerintah Indonesia mulai menggalakkan penerapan prinsip Good Corporate Governance (GCG) pada perusahaan-perusahaan yang ada di Indonesia termasuk perusahaan asuransi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan Good Corporate Governance dalam meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan asuransi pada PT. BRINS General Insurance. Dari latar belakang itulah sehingga penelitian ini dilakukan dengan judul “Analisis Penerapan Good Corporate Goverance (GCG) Dalam Meningkatkan Kinerja Perusahaan Asuransi pada PT. BRINS General Insurance”.

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Jenis dan sumber data Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dan sekunder.

Dari hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penerapan Good Corporate Governance yang telah diterapkan dapat meningkatkan kinerja PT. BRINS General Insurance. Hal ini bisa dilihat dari kinerja perusahaan berdasarkan kualitas dan kuantitas yang telah dicapai. Selain itu, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peranan penting antara penerapan prinsip-prinsip Good Corporate Governance dengan peningkatan kinerja perusahaan. Dengan melaksanakan prinsip Good Corporate Governance secara utuh memenuhi harapan PT. BRINS General Insurance mendapatkan kinerja yang baik.

Today, the application of the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) in Indonesia emerged since the 1997 economic crisis. Where Indonesia experienced an economic downturn and took a long time to rise. One reason is that the growth achieved by Indonesia is not built on a solid foundation. Therefore, the Indonesian Government began to promote the application of the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) to companies in Indonesia, including insurance companies. The purpose of this study was to find out how the implementation of Good Corporate Governance in improving the performance of insurance companies at PT. BRINS General Insurance. From this background, this research was conducted with the title "Analysis of the Implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) in Improving the Performance of Insurance Companies at PT. General Insurance BRINS.

This study uses a qualitative approach with a type of descriptive research. The technique of collecting data uses observation, interviews and documentation. Types and sources of data This study uses primary and secondary data.

The results of the study show that the implementation of Good Corporate Governance that has been implemented can improve the performance of PT. BRINS General Insurance. This can be seen from the company's performance based on the quality and quantity that has been achieved. In addition, the results of this study indicate an important role between the application of the principles of Good Corporate Governance and improving company performance. By implementing the principles of Good Corporate Governance as a whole, meets the expectations of PT. BRINS General Insurance gets good performance
