Abstract
INDONESIA:
ENGLISH:
Fog is one of the noise that is very detrimental because the image captured by the camera becomes has been degraded visually. However, this noise can be used for visualization of fog that can increase the reality of foggy scenes in a simulation. In this paper, image-based simulation is built with an algorithm that implements atmospheric scattering models and the Perlin Noise method to produce heterogeneous foggy synthesis images based on density distribution texture of fog. As a comparison of its effectiveness, an algorithm is also built with implement the Salt and Pepper Noise and Gaussian Noise methods. Then the testing phase uses a histogram and AuthESI (Authenticity Evaluator for Synthetic Foggy / Hazy Images). The results of histogram comparison show that algorithm built with Perlin Noise has color intensity value (coordinate x) and frequency of color appearance (y coordinate) which is greater than the other methods so that results have more white color who are represented fog scene. While the comparison of the average authenticity value who are calculated using the AuthESI method show that the algorithm built with Perlin Noise is more effective 6.77% than the algorithm built with Salt and Pepper Noise and 18.73% more effective than the algorithm built with Gaussian Noise as density distribution texture of fog in heterogeneous foggy synthesis images.
