Abstract
INDONESIA:
Penilaian kinerja merupakan evaluasi atau penetapan standar suatu organisasi atau lembaga meliputi kegiatan input, proses, output bahkan outcome yang akan menjadi acuan dalam menjalankan kegiatan perusahaan tersebut secara keseluruhan menjadi lebih baik atau berkualitas. Salah satu metode penilaian kinerja karyawan adalah Management by Objective (MBO), menurut Siti Novi Evita dkk, (2017) poin-poin penerapan metode Management by Objectives dalam menilai kinerja karyawan; a) menetapkan tujuan organisasi, b) menetapkan tujuan departemen, c) membahas tujuan departemen, d) menetapkan target kinerja individual jangka pendek, e) membandingkan kinerja aktual dan target, f) Memberikan umpan balik. Metode diambil karena menurut Mohammad Faisal Amir, MBO dianggap sebagai salah satu tonggak penting karena kontribusinya yang signifikan terhadap penyempurnaan sistem. Penelitian ini berlokasi di BNI Life kantor cabang Karangploso Malang. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana implementasi penilaian kinerja karyawan dengan metode MBO pada BNI Life kantor cabang Karangploso.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengambilan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Wawancara dengan empat narasumber yang terdiri dari Area Sales Manager (ASM) dan Financial Consultant (FC). Dari penelitian diketahui bahwa BNI Life kantor cabang Karangploso menerapkan seluruh poin MBO dengan baik sehingga memiliki produktifitas yang baik dan tercapai berbagai prestasi.

Performance appraisal is evaluation or standard determined of a organization or firm including input, process, output even outcome activities that would be reference of run firm activities comprehensively to be better. One of the method of performance appraisal is Management by Objective (MBO), according to Siti Novi Evita (2017) the points of practice the MBO method on performance appraisal; a) determined the organizational objectives, b) determined the departement objectives, c) discuss departement objectives, d) set the individual short term goals, e) compare actual performance with the goals, f) give feedback. This methode taken because according to Mohammad Faisal Amir, MBO one of important milestone because of it’s significant contribution of system enhancements. This study located on BNI Life Karangploso branch office Malang. The purpose of this study is to knowing how performance appraisal implemented with MBO method in BNI Life Karangploso branch office.
This study used the descriptive qualitative method of research and data retrieval by interview, observation and documentation. The interview done with four informants thats from Area Sales Manager (ASM) and Financial Consultant. Acoording this study known that BNI Life Karangploso branch office applied the points of MBO well, so that increase productivity and achievement.
