Analisis pengaruh enviromental performance dan enviromental disclosure terhadap profitabilitas pada perusahaan perkebunan yang terdaftar di BEI tahun 2016-2018

Industri perkebunan di Indonesia merupakan yang terbesar produksinya di dunia. Besarnya produksi dapat mengakibatkan dampak negatif. Enviromental performance dan enviromental disclosure merupakan bentuk tanggungjawab perusahaan terhadap lingkungan yang dapat mempengaruhi naik turunnya tingkat profitabilitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh enviromental performance dan enviromental disclosure terhadap profitabilitas secara parsial dan simultan pada perusahaan perkebunan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2016-2018.

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 10 perusahaan perkebunan yang diperoleh dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder berupa laporan tahunan yang diperoleh dari website Bursa Efek Indonesia dan laporan peringkat PROPER yang diperoleh dari website Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup. Data yang ada di analisis dengan SPSS menggunakan metode analisis regresi linier berganda, uji-t dan uji-F.

Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa enviromental performance tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap profitabilitas, hal ini disebabkan perusahaan mendapatkan peringkat PROPER yang memiliki rata-rata stabil bahkan meningkat setiap tahunnya. Sedangkan enviromental disclosure berpengaruh signifikan terhadap profitabilitas, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin banyak pengungkapan lingkungan yang dilakukan semakin meningkat pula tingkat profitabilitas perusahaan. Secara simultan kedua variabel tersebut berpengaruh signifikan terhadap profitabilitas dengan nilai adjusted R square sebesar 21%, sedangkan 79% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak masuk dalam penelitian ini.

The plantation industry in Indonesia has become one of the largest product industry in the world. The amount of production can have a negative impact. Environmental performance and environmental disclosure are forms of corporate responsibility towards the environment that can influence the ups and downs level of profitability. This study aimed to determine the influence of environmental performance and environmental disclosure on profitability partially and simultaneously on plantation companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2018.

Furthermore, this study employed quantitative methods utilizing descriptive approach. The amount of the samples in this study were ten plantation companies which were obtained by purposive sampling technique. Moreover, the data in this study used secondary data consisting of annual reports received from the website of Indonesian Stock Exchange and PROPER ranking reports obtained from the Ministry of Environment website. Also, the data was analyzed by SPSS using multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, and F-test.

The results of this study explain that the environmental performance does not have a significant effect on profitability, this is due to the company getting a PROPER rating which has a stable average and even increases every year. Meanwhile, environmental disclosure has a significant effect on profitability. This fact shows that more and more environmental disclosures are carried out as well as increasing levels of a company’s profitability. Simultaneously, both variables have a significant effect on profitability with a value of adjusted R square of 21%, while 79% is influenced by other factors which are not included in this study.
