Abstract
INDONESIA:
SMAU Haf-Sa Zainul Hasan BPPT Genggong Probolinggo adalah lembaga pendidikan berbasis pesantren yang siswa atau santrinya berasal dari beragam daerah, bahasa, latar belakang yang berbeda. Guru memegang peranan strategis sebagai pendidik khususnya dalam upaya mencetak bangsa melalui pembelajaran. Guru memiliki peranan penting dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Demikian juga dalam hal menumbuhkan sikap toleransi pada siswa. Sikap toleransi perlu ditanamkan guna menciptakan persatuan dan kedamaian agar siswa dapat menerima, menghormati keragaman dan perbedaan budaya yang ada di Indonesia terutama di lingkungan sekolah.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana upaya guru ips dalam menumbuhkan sikap toleransi pada siswa, untuk mengetahui bagaimana kendala guru ips dalam menumbuhkan sikap toleransi pada siswa, untuk mengetahui solusi dalam mengatasi kendala guru ips.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif melalui pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verisifikasi data/menarik kesimpulan.
Hasil penelitian adalah mengetahui proses pembelajaran, upaya-upaya, kendala dan solusi dalam menumbuhkan sikap toleransi pada siswa di SMAU Haf-Sa Zainul Hasan BPPT Genggong Probolinggo. Adapun upaya-upaya Guru IPS dalam menumbuhkan sikap toleransi siswa diantaranya lebih dominan mengikuti dan menerapkan satlogi Santri dan Sembilan Budi Utama santri. Kendala Guru IPS dalam menumbuhkan sikap toleransi diantaranya kurangnya alokasi waktu, banyaknya siswa yang berasal dari beragam daerah. Solusi dalam mengatasi kendala Guru IPS yaitu melakukan pendekatan-pendekatan dan harus ada kerjasama antara pihak sekolah, pondok dan orangtua.

Students in Superior High School Haf-Sa Zainul Hasan BPPT Genggong of Probolinggo is a boarding school-based educational institution whose students or students come from a variety of regions, languages, different backgrounds. The teacher holds a strategic role as an educator especially in efforts to create a nation through multicultural education. The teacher has an important role in learning activities. Likewise in terms of growing tolerance for students. The attitude of tolerance needs to be instilled in order to create unity and peace so students can accept, respect the diversity and cultural differences that exist in Indonesia, especially in the school environment.
The purpose of this study was to find out how the teacher's effort in growing tolerance through multicultural education to students, to find out how the constraints of teacher ips in fostering tolerance in students, to find out solutions to overcome the teacher ips constraints through multicultural education.
This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive types. Techniques for collecting data through interviews, observation, documentation. Data analysis used qualitative descriptive analysis through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and data verification / drawing conclusions.
The results of the study are knowing the learning process, efforts, constraints and solutions in fostering an attitude of tolerance through multicultural education to students in Superior High School Haf-Sa Zainul Hasan BPPT Genggong of Probolinggo. The efforts of Social Sciences Teachers in fostering a tolerance attitude among students are more dominant in following and implementing the satlogi Santri and mind main nine santri. Social Sciences Teacher Constraints in growing tolerance include a lack of time allocation, a large number of students from various regions. The solution to overcoming the obstacles of Social Sciences Teachers is to take approaches and there must be collaboration between the school, the lodge and the parents.
