Abstract
ENGLISH:
The success of the learning process of student is one of very determined by the teacher's social competence. This is because teachers are learning leaders, because teachers are learning leaders, facilitators, and at the same time are central to learning initiatives. In addition, personality competence has a considerable influence in the success of learning activities which at the end will also affect the improvement of learning achievement of student. In addition to teacher factors that affect learning achievement, there are other factors that also influence it, including students themselves, family, play environment, media or learning methods and so forth.
The purpose of this research are: (1) to know the influence of teacher’s social competence toward student’s learning achievement of social science subject in seventh grade at Brawijaya Smart School junior high school Malang, (2) to know the influence of the teacher’s personality competence toward student’s learning achievement of social science subject in seventh grade at Brawijaya Smart School junior high school Malang, (3) to know the influence of teacher’s social and personality competences toward student’s learning achievement of social science subject in seventh grade at Brawijaya Smart School junior high school Malang.
This research used a quantitative approach with a type of descriptive correlational. This research takes the overall sample (sample population) in the seventh grade at Brawijaya Smart School junior high school Malang in the year 2017/2018, amounting to 125 students. The data collection technique for variable social competence and personal competence of teachers using a questionnaire, while for the variable derived from the point of learning achievement from social studies raport. For testing instruments using validity and reliability tests. Whereas for data analysis techniques using multiple linear regression analysis.
The results indicate that: (1) there is no significant positive influence on teachers' social competence on learning achievement of social studies subjects of seventh grade in Brawijaya Smart School junior high school Malang, (2) there is a significant positive influence on teachers' personality competence on learning achievement of social studies subjects of seventh grade in Brawijaya Smart School junior high school Malang, (3) there is a significant positive effect between teacher's social and personality competences toward learning achievement of social studies subjects in seventh grade of Brawijaya Smart School junior high school Malang.
INDONESIA:
Keberhasilan proses belajar siswa salah satunya sangat ditentukan oleh kompetensi sosial guru. Hal ini dikarenakan guru sebagai pemimpin pembelajaran, sebab guru adalah pemimpin pembelajaran, fasilitator, dan sekaligus merupakan pusat inisiatif pembelajaran. Selain itu, kompetensi kepribadian mempunyai pengaruh yang cukup besar dalam keberhasilan kegiatan pembelajaran yang pada ujungnya juga akan berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan prestasi belajar peserta didik. Selain faktor guru yang mempengaruhi prestasi belajar, ada faktor-faktor lainnya yang juga turut mempengaruhinya antara lain adalah siswa itu sendiri, keluarga, lingkungan bermain, media atau metode pembelajaran dan lain sebagainya.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk: (1) mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi sosial guru terhadap prestasi peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPS kelas VII di SMP Brawijaya Smart School Malang, (2) mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi kepribadian guru terhadap prestasi peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPS kelas VII di SMP Brawijaya Smart School Malang, (3) mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi sosial dan kompetensi kepribadian guru IPS terhadap prestasi peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPS kelas VII di SMP Brawijaya Smart School Malang.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif korelasional. Penelitian ini mengambil sampel secara keseluruhan (sampel populasi) pada siswa kelas VII tahun ajaran 2017/2018 di SMP Brawijaya Smart School Malang yang berjumlah 125 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data untuk variabel kompetensi sosial dan kompetensi kepribadian guru menggunakan angket, sedangkan untuk variabel prestasi belajar diperoleh dari nilai rapot mata pelajaran IPS. Untuk pengujian instrument menggunakan uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Sedangkan untuk teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) tidak terdapat pengaruh positif signifikan kompetensi sosial guru terhadap prestasi belajar mata pelajaran IPS peserta didik kelas VII SMP Brawijaya Smart School Malang, (2) terdapat pengaruh positif signifikan kompetensi kepribadian guru terhadap prestasi belajar mata pelajaran IPS peserta didik kelas VII SMP Brawijaya Smart School Malang, (3) terdapat pengaruh secara positif signifikan antara kompetensi sosial dan kompetensi kepribadian guru terhadap prestasi belajar mata2 pelajaran IPS peserta didik kelas VII SMP Brawijaya Smart School Malang.
