Secara Harfiah Off-Road Park merupakan sebuah areal yang berisikan komponen material keras dan lunak yang saling mendukung satu sama lainnya yang sengaja direncanakan dan dibuat oleh manusia dalam kegunaanya sebagai tempat berkegiatan Off-Road, Secara harafiah pengertian Off-Road sendiri adalah mengendarai kendaraan di luar jalan raya, seperti jalan tanah, lumpur, pasir, sungai, atau batuan yang masih dalam kondisi extreme atau apa adanya, dengan kata lain perjalanan menggunakan Four Wheel Drive (4WD) melalui daerah yang sulit dilalui oleh kendaraan biasa di jalanan yang beraspal.

Perancangan Off-Road Park ini mengambil tema Transformasi dengan konsep. Transformasi Four Wheel Drive (4WD). Four Wheel Drive (4WD) merupakan sebuah sistem dalam sebuah mobil yang memiliki klasifikasi khusus, baik bentuk fisik dan sistem penggeraknya. Transformasi Four Wheel Drive (4WD) terbagi menjadi dua pentransformasian, yaitu bentuk fisik dan sistem Four Wheel Drive-nya sendiri. Kedua poin tersebut memiliki penerapan yang berbeda dalam pentransformasiannya. Penerapan pertama pada bentuk fisik kendaraan 4WD dengan cara penganalogian yang selanjutnya bertransformasi menyesuaikan kondisi baik fungsi maupun keadaan tapak. Penerapan kedua yaitu mekanisme sistem 4WD dalam batasan Transformasi.

Penerapan konsep Transformasi Four Wheel Drive (4WD) diterapkan pada bentuk fisik bangunan. Kendaraan 4WD memilki klasifikasi bentuk khusus, seperti memiliki ketinggian yang lebih dari jenis kendaraan lain. Tidak hanya itu, semua aspek pada kendaraan 4WD dapat mewakili aspek pembentuk sebuah bangunan arsitektur, mulai dari kerangka, bentuk, interior, hingga penerangan pada kendaraan tersebut, dan lain-lain. Selanjutnya, penganalogian bentuk fisik dari kendaraan 4WD akan ditransformasikan secara penggandaan. Selanjutnya, tiap kloning yang mewakili fungsi masing masing melakukan transformasi menyesuaikan kebutuhan namun akan diselaraskan dengan kloning yang lain. Penerapan dari mekanisme sistem 4WD dalam batasan Transformasi. Dalam hal ini terdapat 3 komponen penyusun sistem 4WD, yaitu differential, Transfer Case, dan Locking Hub

Dalam perancangan Off-Road Park ini memadukan kebutuhan ruang yang telah diidentifikasi dengan sirkulasi sistem 4WD. Sebelum layouting akan dilakukan pentransformasian analogi dari bentuk fisik kendaraan 4WD yang menyesuaikan kebutuhan ruang.
