Abstract
INDONESIA:
Penelitian karakterisasi morfologi permukaan beads alginat-selulosa xantat dengan variasi berat porogen CaCO3 telah dilakukan. Pemanfaatan limbah batang jagung sebagai bahan pembuatan material pembawa dalam obat-obatan berupa Cellulose beads yang sudah mulai dikembangkan mampu meningkatkan nilai mutu dari limbah padat pertanian. Tahapan penelitian mencakup beberapa metode antara lain: ekstraksi selulosa, pembuatan selulosa xantat, pembuatan beads alginat-selulosa xantat dengan variasi berat porogen CaCO3 0, 2, 4, 6 gram, selanjutnya dilakukan karakterisasi yaitu meliputi analisis morfologi permukaan menggunakan SEM-EDX dan analisis data.
Hasil bleaching ekstrak selulosa yang berwarna putih harus ditambahkan CS2 agar membentuk suspensi selulosa xantat, dan selanjutnya pencetakan beads berbentuk butiran bulat kaku dapat dilakukan dengan penambahan Na-alginat dan porogen CaCO3 hingga diperoleh sampel berupa beads alginat-selulosa xantat. Analisis morfologi permukaan beads menggunakan SEM-EDX dihasilkan pada variasi CaCO3 2 gram terlihat berbentuk bulatan dan terdapat rongga-rongga yang partikelnya seragam serta diketahui berat (%) masing-masing atom yaitu Zn 48.08 %, O 44.20 %, C 6.03 %, dan Ca 1.70 %, pada variasi CaCO3 4 gram tidak terbentuk bulatan, beraglomerasi, terlihat seperti gumpalan kapas dengan berat (%) masing-masing atom yaitu O 48.17 %, Zn 22.53 %, Ca 16.68 %, C 12.62 %, dan begitu juga pada variasi CaCO3 6 gram dengan berat (%) masing-masing atom yaitu O 62.21 %, C 25.83 %, Zn 25.83 %, dan Ca 4.72 %. Hasil gambar EDX dapat diketahui bahwa unsur yang terkandung dalam beads antara lain Zn, Ca, O, dan C.
ENGLISH:
Research on surface morphology characterization of alginated-cellulose xantat beads with variation of CaCO3 porogen weight has been performed. Utilization of corn stalk waste as material of carrier material in medicine in the form of Cellulose beads that have been developed can increase the quality value of agricultural solid waste. Research stages include several methods such as: cellulose extraction, cellulose xantat manufacturing, alginated-cellulose xantat beads with variation of CaCO3 0, 2, 4, 6, 6 gram porogenic weight, then characterization is done, including surface morphology analysis using SEM-EDX and data analysis .
The result of bleaching of white cellulose extract should be added CS2 to form cellulose xantat suspension, and then printing of rigid round spherical beads can be done by addition of Na-alginate and porogen CaCO3 to obtain samples of alantate-cellulose xantat beads. Analysis of surface morphology of beads using SEM-EDX resulted in variation of CaCO3 2 gram visible in the form of sphere and there are cavities of uniform particles and known weight (%) each atom that is Zn 48.08%, O 44.20%, C 6.03%, and Ca 1.70%, on the variation of CaCO3 4 gram unbounded, agglomerated, looks like cotton wool with weight (%) of each atom that is O 48.17%, Zn 22.53%, Ca 16.68%, C 12.62%, and so on the variation of CaCO3 6 grams with weight (%) of each atom is O 62.21%, C 25.83%, Zn 25.83%, and Ca 4.72%. EDX image results can be seen that the elements contained in beads include Zn, Ca, O, and C.
