Abstract

INDONESIA:

Keberhasilan suatu organisasi dipengaruhi oleh kinerja (job performance) dari karyawannya. Agar tujuan perusahaan dapat terwujud, maka pihak perusahaan harus dapat memuaskan karyawannya karena kepuasan kerja karyawan merupakan pendorong prestasi kerja karyawan Kepuasan kerja merupakan salah satu variabel pekerjaan yang penting karena berkontribusi besar terhadap efektifitas perusahaan dan pada pekerjaan itu sendiri. Sedangkan kepuasan kerja dipengaruhi oleh faktor karakteristik pribadi. Karakteristik pribadi antara lain self esteem, self efficacy dan locus of control merupakan faktor dari dalam diri pribadi seseorang.

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survey. Populasi dalam penelitian ini merupakan seluruh pegawai bank jatim syariah cabang malang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan probability sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 30 responden. Variabel dependen dalam penelitian ini adalah kinerja karyawan (Y), dan variabel independen self esteem (X1), self efficacy (X2), locus of control (X3), dengan kepuasan kerja (Z) sebagai variabel intervening. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis Path.

Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa self esteem (X1), self efficacy (X2), locus of control (X3) berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan, self esteem (X1), self efficacy (X2) tidak berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan dan locus of control (X3) tidak berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan, self esteem (X1), self efficacy (X2), locus of control (X3) berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan melalui kepuasan kerja.

Success of an organization defined by accomplishment (job performance) of its employees. In order to achieve company goals, the company should be able to satisfy its employees because employee’s satisfaction of their job is one of the reason for them to achieve more in their job. Job satisfaction is one of the important work variables because it has big contribution towards company effectivity and to the work itself. Moreover, job satisfaction is affected by personal characteristic factor. Those personal charactheristic factors are self esteem, self efficacy, and locus of control which are factors that come from within a person conciousness.

This research uses quantitative approach with survey method. Population within this research is the entire employee of Jatim Syariah Bank Malang Branch. Sample taking that is used is probability sampling technique with the number of respondents as many as 30 people. Dependent variable in this research is employee performance (Y), and independent variable are self esteem (X1), self efficacy (X2), locus of control (X3), with job satisfaction (Z) as intervening variable. Data analysis technique using Path analysis.

The result shows that self esteem (X1), self efficacy (X2), locus of control (X3) does affect the satisfaction, self esteem (X1), self efficacy (X2) have no effect towards employee performance and locus of control (X3) also have effect, self esteem (X1), self efficacy (X2), locus of control (X3) affect the employee performance through job satisfacion.
