Abstract
INDONESIA:
Indonesia adalah negara penghasil minyak hewani, memiliki bahan baku yang besar untuk tujuan pengembangan BBM alternatif. Salah satu bahan baku yang dimanfaatkan yaitu minyak hasil pengolahan limbah industri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah, untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbandingan metanol terhadap kualias fisik biodiesel dari minyak hasil pengolahan limbah industri pengalengan ikan. Serta untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi penambahan katalis KOH terhadap kualitas fisik Biodiesel dari minyak hasil pengolahan limbah industri pengalengan ikan. Metode penelitian ini membandingkan mol minyak ikan dan variasi metanol (1:9, 1:12, dan 1:15) dengan KOH 10%. Serta membandingkana variasi KOH (5 %, 10 %, 15 %) dengan mol minyak ikan : metanol (1:12). Hasil analisa kedua sampel menunujukkan bahwa nilai massa jenis, kadar air, viskositas, titik nyala tertinggi pada KOH (5 %, 10 %, 15 %) dengan mol minyak ikan : metanol (1:12) adalah 0,87 g/m), 6.10 %, 6 cSt, 161,6 0C dan untuk variasi metanol (1:9, 1:12, dan 1:15) dengan KOH 10 % adalah 0,88 g/ml, 0,5%, 7 cSt, 160 0C.

Indonesia is the animal oil producing country having a large amount of raw material for the purpose of alternative developing fuels. One of used raw materials is the oil resulted from the treatment industrial waste. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of methanol ratio to the physical quality of biodiesel from the waste treatment of fish canning industry. It is also to determine the effect of additional variation of KOH catalyst to the physical quality of biodiesel from the waste treatment of fish canning industry. The method of this study was by comparing the mole of fish oil and variations of methanol (1: 9, 1:12, and 1:15) with 10% KOH. And comparing the KOH variation (5%, 10%, 15%) with the mole of fish oil and methanol (1:12). Based on phyical analysis, showed the highest density, moisture content, viscosity, the highest flash point on KOH (5%, 10%, 15%) with the mole of fish oil and methanol ratio (1:12) were 0.87 g / m, 6.10 %, 6 cSt, 161.6 0 C respectively. The variations of oil and methanol ratio (1: 9, 1:12, and 1:15 in mole) with KOH 10 % were 0.88 g / ml, 0.5%, 7 cSt, 160 0 C respectively.
