Abstract
INDONESIA;
Selada (Lactuca sativa) memiliki fungsi di bidang pangan. Pupuk anorganik yang sering digunakan petani untuk tanaman selada yakni urea, yang berperan memasok unsur nitrogen bagi tanaman sehingga dapat memacu pertumbuhan tanaman.Penggunaan pupuk anorganik terus-menerus dapat mengurangi kesuburan tanah, karena keseimbangan hara menjadi terganggu. Pemberian pupuk anorganik tanpa diimbangi dengan penggunaan pupuk organik dapat menurunkan sifat fisik seperti halnya struktur tanah, kimia seperti menurunnya Kapasitas Tukar Kation (KTK) dan biologi tanah seperti menurunnya aktivitas mikroorganisme tanah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian dosis pupuk Azolla pinnata dan pupuk urea terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman selada (Lactuca sativa) dan dosis pupuk yang paling optimal untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman selada (Lactuca sativa).
Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang disusun secara faktorial yang terdiri dari dua faktor dan tiga kali ulangan. Faktor pertama dosis pupuk urea yaitu kontrol (U0), 0,075 (U1), 0,15 (U2), dan 0,225 (U3). Faktor kedua dosis kompos Azolla pinnnata yaitu kontrol (K0), 32 (K1), 65 (K2), dan 97 (K3).Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya dianalisis dengan analisis variansi (ANAVA) dan hasil yang signifikan dilanjutkan ke uji Duncan.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi dosis kompos Azolla pinnata dan urea terbaik yaitu pada (U1K2) dengan kombinasi 65 gram/tan + 0,075 gram/tan berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman selada (Lactuca sativa) yang meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, berat basah dan kadar klorofil pada umur 35 HST. Pemberian dosis kompos Azolla pinnata 65 gram/tanaman berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman selada (Lactuca sativa) meliputi tinggi tanaman , jumlah daun, luas daun, berat basah dan kadar klorofil. Pada pemberian dosis pupuk urea 0,075 gram/tan berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman selada (Lactuca sativa) meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, berat basah dan kadar klorofil pada umur 35 HST.

Selada or Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) has a function in the food field. Inorganic fertilizer that is often used by farmers for lettuce is urea, which supplies nitrogen for plants to spur plant growth. The use of inorganic fertilizers continuously can reduce soil fertility, and the nutrient balance becomes disrupted. Inorganic fertilizers without balanced by the use of organic fertilizers can reduce physical properties as well as soil structure, chemicals such as decreasing Cation Exchange capacity (KTK) and soil biology as decreasing activity of soil microorganisms. The research aims at determining the effect of dosage of Azolla pinnata fertilizer and urea fertilizer against the lettuce plant growth (Lactuca sativa) and optimum fertilizer dosage for growth and yield of lettuce plant (Lactuca sativa).
The research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which was arranged in a factorial consisting of two factors and three replications. The first factor of urea fertilizer dose was control (U0), 0,075 (U1), 0,15 (U2), and 0,225 (U3). The second factor was the Azolla pinnnata compost dose, namely the control (K0), 32 (K1), 65 (K2), and 97 (K3).The data were analyzed by variance analysis (ANOVA), and significant results were continued into Duncan test.
The results showed that the best composite concentration of Azolla pinnata and urea composition was in (U1K2) with combination of 65 gram / tan + 0.075 gram / tan that influenced against lettuce growth (Lactuca sativa) which included plant height, leaf number, leaf area, wet weight and chlorophyll content at age of 35 HST. Composition of Azolla pinnata composition of 65 gram / plant influenced on the growth of lettuce plants (Lactuca sativa) that included plant height, leaf number, leaf area, wet weight and chlorophyll content. In the urea fertilizer dose of 0.075 gram / tan influenced on lettuce growth (Lactuca sativa) that included plant height, leaf number, leaf area, wet weight and chlorophyll content at age of 35 HST.
